One private room in a large, front, upstairs bedroom in a beautiful, 100 year old, 9-room, 2-story Craftsman bungalow, in the historic North Tabor neighborhood, within walking distance of Mt. Tabor Park, Providence Hospital and numerous pubs & restaurants.
Upon walking through the front door of my home, you enter a traditional foyer, with a staircase on the left. Your room is at the top of the stairs, on the right at the front of the house. The room is decorated in a blue and white theme, with Mission style furnishings. There is a walk-in closet and a built-in bookcase...filled with paperback novels for your perusal. In addition to the traditional amenities of linens, towels, soap and shampoo, there is also a personal coffeemaker and a space heater, as well as additional quilts.
• Check in/Check out:
Check in begins at 2:00 PM. Please let us know if you need to arrange an early or late check in. If you do come early, your room may not yet be turned over but you can drop off your stuff and hang out until it is ready or go cruise the town.
Check out is 10:00am. You don't need to rush out the door at that time; we do, however, need the bedroom available to turn over for the next guest. You are welcome to leave your stuff (packed up and placed in the luggage storage area) while you cruise for the day and come back for it.
• Kitchen If you wish to use the kitchen, there is an additional fee of $5 per day. Please clean up after yourself.
• Gym There is a workout room with a PowerTec LeverGym with 460 lb. of weights, a set of Bowflex SelectTech dumbbells, and a recumbent exercise bike. There is an additional fee of $5 per day to use the gym.
• Laundry is available for a fee of $4 per load.
• Towels, washcloths, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and linens are all provided.
• Upstairs bath with shower/Jacuzzi tub is shared. There is an additional fee of $10 to use the Jacuzzi, to cover cleaning and sanitizing.

Lance and Jeff both live on site. Although Lance is the owner, Jeff will be the main contact person for checking in and out, and for any questions or emergencies. If for any reason, Jeff is not available, then Lance is your guy.

If you leave your room, you must close the door and ensure that it is latched. It's a 100-year-old house with original hardware, so you need to give it an extra tug to ensure that it is latched. Same goes for the bathroom, if you leave any of your stuff in there.
Mason, my dog, will push his way into your room if you don't, and re-locate your possessions. He won't necessarily chew on them, he'll just move them to a location of his choosing...unless it's food, in which case he'll just eat it.
Kitchen use: $5 per day
Laundry: $4 a load
Gym use: $5
I work at home as a 3D illustrator & animator. I've remodeled my basement into an illustration studio with a workshop and a private idea of a man-cave.
I love the great outdoors, which is why I live in Portland, Oregon. There's such a wide range of activities and environments that are available with a day-trip from Portland...the coast, the mountains (both the Cascades and the Coastal Range), the Columbia River Gorge, the Willamette Valley, the high an outdoorsman's paradise.
I've got lots of recommendations that I can make...both in the city and in the state.
When you stay with me, you'll find that I'm pretty laid back. Whether you want to just drop off you luggage and then go explore the city on your own, or you want to interact, have a conversation and get recommendations...I'm comfortable with both.
I love meeting new people, and AirBNB offers me that opportunity...whether as a host or when I'm traveling myself. I love talking with people...finding out their stories.
Do I have a life motto? You bet:
Balance is the key to power.
