Our convenient 1-2 bedroom apartment is located right in the centre of town, within walking distance of the railway station and best cafes. With a well-equipped industrial-style kitchen, large bedroom, tree-top views, comfortable dining nook and living room, bathroom with separate toilet, this is the ideal place for a couple or single traveller wanting to explore everything Ballarat has to offer!
This apartment is located on level 2, accessible by stairs only.
We've just carefully renovated this space in 2017, it's convenient, and quirky - and quite comfortable, especially with a nice new kitchen. It has East-facing windows that look through the tree tops to the hills or over the cathedral buildings, and let in the morning sun.
It's a great apartment for long term stays, or an overnight.
Thinking about places we've stayed, we've tried to set things up how we'd expect a comfortable and convenient place to be today. Simple.
From the common area you will have two door access to the private apartment, which has been recently renovated. It has a bedroom (with good quality queen-size bed, electric blanket, lamp, a sitting chair, foot stool, chest of drawers, clothes hanging rack and free-standing Dyson heater/fan); sitting area with Apple TV (with Netflix and Stan), (fixed gas heater, portable speaker, lamp, couch, two arm chairs); sitting nook (with dining table overlooking the garden); bathroom (with shower over bathtub), separate toilet, and a newly-renovated kitchen.
There is an extra bedroom that can be added by request (which has a good quality queen-size bed, lamp, radiator heater, coffee table, chairs, chest of drawers, clothes hanging rack, couch and mirror) which is off the same private entry. We will prepare this room for a booking of 3 or more guests.
You are welcome to use our common area laundry and our off street car parking space.
Tea, coffee, breakfast cereals and toast offered.

- UPDATES -
August 2017 - We just had our first baby in August 2017, so although we want to, we may not get to meet you in person.
October 2017 - we’ve been having some trouble with our oven lately and need to fix it. The stove works.
Our place is a strictly non-smoking home. We ask that you respect our common area and our neighbours. We look forward to hosting you!
I grew up in 7 cities (Melbourne, Houston, Tokyo, Nagoya, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Madrid) and don’t really know east from west.
I'm an architect that is passionate about designing places for and with people. After running my own architectural business for 6+ years, I now work for local government in community development, and spend my time between Melbourne and Ballarat (backwards and forwards on the VLine train!).
I love yoga, cooking & baking, gardening, knitting, swimming and watching tennis (especially the Australian Open).
I live with my partner Ammon, who is also an architect, teacher and writer, our newborn baby, and our friendly cat Frankie. We love living in central Ballarat with the freedom to walk to practically everything in just a few minutes!
We love travelling to new places and hosting people from all over the world, and sharing our experiences - we look forward to meeting you!
