Curious about what makes Portland so weirdly wonderful? Live like a local and find out for yourself at our newly renovated, one-bedroom apartment in downtown Portland. Comfortably blending modern conveniences with historic charm, the apartment sits in a 100-year-old building near Portland State University and the South Park Blocks - perfectly situated to sample some of Portland's favorite pastimes, like getting lost at Powell's City of Books and drinking copious amounts of coffee and microbrews.
While right in the mix of things, the apartment is in a quieter part of downtown, meaning you'll have the peace and privacy to fully recharge after a long day of hiking or BrewCycling (yes, it's a thing). With an ultra-comfy queen-size bed in the bedroom and a surprisingly comfortable queen-size futon in the family room to sleep four, this is a great place for a couple or small group of friends looking for an affordable home base to take on The Rose City.
Though it has just undergone a new renovation, the apartment's historic roots shine through, with much of the original woodwork still in tact. And with modern amenities like super-fast WiFi, new furniture, and a 50" LED flat-screen cable TV, you'll feel right at home. If you feel like staying in to eat, you'll have a compact kitchen with all the cooking essentials and a Safeway right next door for convenient grocery shopping. A Keurig coffee maker will help you get up and go in the morning, or stop by one of the many local coffee shops close by for a specialty latte. You'll also have access to coin-operated laundry facilities to keep packing light, too!
You will have the ease, convenience, and privacy of coming and going as you please with a secure lockbox on site to access the apartment keys. I will provide the lockbox code via email prior to your arrival.

I am often traveling for work and pretty hands off when I'm in town, however if any issues arise I'm happy to help and have many local resources available in case of an emergency.
I'm a Pacific Northwest native who loves hiking, snowshoeing, and riding bikes - and even better when my black lab Lola is with me! Hosting has been a fun way to introduce people to Portland. I travel a lot for work and don't often get to greet guests in person, but I'm committed to making your stay easy and fun (and I have lots of contacts nearby should you need anything at all). I hope you love Portland as much as I do! #upperleftUSA
