You’ll love my place because it's located in one of the nicest neighbourhoods in the whole city, with tree lined avenues and walking distance from everything you may need and plenty that you may want to experience of Chennai culture. The room is a beautiful, private and cosy space with a private balcony and bath attached. You will be treated with warmth and kindness and we will accommodate any request we have the capacity to grant you.
The room comes with a small private balcony with it's own tiny garden overlooking a lime tree. A private bath is attached with a water heater. Free high speed wi-fi, a cubby with electric water kettle and tea, coffee and biscuits, as well as a mini-fridge for your personal use are all available in the room. The room has an air conditioner that you may use when required (but please turn all electric appliances off when you leave the room).
You have the use of a small closet (that can be locked), and your room door and balcony door may be locked as well. Please keep your valuables safe as we cannot be responsible for any loss or damage to your property. Note that we do live in a safe, residential neighbourhood however, you are encouraged to keep all doors closed for your own safety. Do keep all keys safe.
Bed linen and towels will be changed every fourth day.
The room has many lovely books that you are free to read during your stay, but we request you to treat them kindly and place them back when you leave.
Apart from your private room, with balcony and private bath attached, you are free to use the kitchen to fix yourself a sandwich or a snack or use the microwave or oven. You are also welcome to use the living room and dining area.
Общение с гостями
The room that we rent to our guests is part of our home and either my daughter or I will always be available during your stay. If there's any help you need while you stay with us, and if it is in our capacity to assist you, we will gladly do so.
Другие важные подробности
We provide fresh fruit, yoghurt, milk/soy milk, cereal, tea/coffee, toast & preserves, and packaged juice for breakfast only. If you want a hot cooked breakfast, there are plenty of restaurants within 5 minutes walking distance that provide very good South Indian breakfasts.
We have two beautiful cats that we share our home with, and one visiting cat! They are all quiet, shy cats who won't bother you (and we encourage guests to keep their doors closed to keep the kitties out of the bedroom), but if you are allergic or phobic, it's best you find somewhere else to stay.
- We have two cats who live with us full time and one visiting cat. They are all shy, sweet kitties who will leave you alone. But if you meet them, treat them kindly. We recommend you keep your room door closed to keep inquisitive cats out.
- Please feel free to smoke on the balcony or the living room, but not in the bedroom, please.
- We have no curfews and you can come and go as you please. We will provide house keys and a building access card, but please be careful with them.
I'm a retired air stewardess who loves jazz, dogs, cats, fish (pretty much any living thing) and my two 30-something girls. My youngest lives in New York, and my eldest stays with me, along with two lovely little cats (there's a garden full of other kitties that we care for too!). I'm very fond of baking bread and experimenting in the kitchen. 34 years in the service industry and whizzing through the skies has taught me a great deal about managing people and making them comfortable :)
