Enjoy water and park views. Walk just minutes to everything! Our 2 story home was recently renovated and we reside upstairs access gained via an INTERNAL staircase. The whole ground floor is for you. This includes 2 large QS bedrooms, full size kitchen, dining, 2 lounge areas, bathroom and laundry.
There will be no other guests or residents sharing your space. The ground floor is all yours and we access our residence located on the second floor via an internal staircase using a separate entry/exit. To further clarify, if you look at the photos provided you will see an internal staircase which has a white door directly opposite the bottom of the stairs. This door leads to our garage and is the ONLY door and ONLY floorspace we use on the ground floor whilst we have guests.
Your space is all tiled floors, 2 spacious bedrooms QS comfortable ensemble beds and thoughtfully furnished throughout. You will find a fully equipped kitchen, dining table/6 chairs and 2 separate lounge areas, laundry and a sunny and modern tiled bathroom and we stress it's all for your use only!
There are a lot of little extras in the kitchen and bathroom for your use along with a welcome pack for your enjoyment!
We can also provide a high chair and porta cot on request. No linen is provided for the porta cot.
Our home has ducted air/heating as well as ceiling fans. Due to the position and style of the house we are able to capture the summer bay breezes and generally find that the ceiling fans are sufficient. The heating cycle has not been necessary at all.
There is a large TV with Netflix in the family room and a smaller TV in the kitchen. We invite you to relax on your private front patio enjoying the water and park views, or enjoy the family friendly back garden where children can play happily for hours in our fully fenced "kids zone". Our herb garden is there for your use as well.
A desk/study nook provides a suitable working space and the NBN/wifi is free.
We offer parking for one car on our driveway at night. Alternatively you are able to park in front of the house under a street light for added security. The curb to road space is very wide.
There is a small selection of books, DVDs, board games etc for your enjoyment.
We have an outside dog as a member of our family. He will be fenced off from the garden any guests would be using.
We are generally here to welcome you but for the occasion when that isn't possible house keys are located in a key safe for easy and secure access. All windows and doors on the ground floor are secured and a key for the screen doors will also be provided. It's always nice to put a face to a name so we will come and say say hi!
We do understand that some plans just never go to plan! First hand experience! Let us know if things change and we will be as flexible as possible.

The floor plan of our home allows us to enter and exit the house with very minimal intrusion on your personal space. Shane will often be in his shed which is fenced off from the remainder of the back garden, or working around the gardens. I will generally be in and out during the day just doing normal daily activities. Or, weather permitting, we will be in the boat and out on the bay fishing prawning or crabbing or just cruising around the islands with the dolphins and turtles.
We are retired empty nesters in our early sixties, naturally friendly and happy to help. Our preference when we travel is to find accommodation that allows us to relax, spread out, feel comfortable and secure. We believe we have provided this same feel for our guests. Our home has always been a great meeting place for family and friends and we love it. But like everyone, we do also enjoy our privacy so be assured that you will have your own privacy as well.

We do provide a wine and snacks welcome pack along with some staple items to get you started. You will find fresh milk, tea, coffee, sugar, butter, salt and pepper, oil, cooking spray, cling wrap, alfoil, paper towel, dishwashing liquid, dishwasher tablets along with Vegemite, peanut paste, jam and honey.

Victoria Point - Thompsons Beach. 10 mins. Fantastic family BBQ and children's play area/ beaches/wind surfing/stand up paddle boarding/ kayaking etc.
Cleveland/Raby Bay - 15 mins. Boutique shopping /restaurants/coffee culture. Catch the Straddie Flyer to North Stradbroke Island. Whale watching tours run June to November.
Gold Coast Theme Parks - 40 minutes drive and a little further to Sanctuary Cove or the world famous Gold Coast beaches

Coolangatta Airport (Gold Coast) - 1 hour 15 mins

We love our home and neighbourhood and love having guests. It is important to us that our guests respect our home and belongings and be considerate to our neighbours. If there is something you need help with please let us know, or, any suggestion that would make your next stay more enjoyable, we'd love to hear from you. We are also happy to lend you a picnic basket/table cloth/utensils and esky, beach towels etc at no additional cost to you.
There are no exceptions to the following house rules:
Whilst guests stay:
A security deposit of $500 will be held by Airbnb and is NOT an additional payment you need to make.
Report any accidental damage immediately
Additional guests not listed on booking will be asked to pay a fee of $25 per person per night
Children 0 - 2 years are free and not included in number of guests, but are to be noted when making reservations
No smoking on the premises including grounds
No candles/incense etc
Quiet after 10.00 pm
When guests leave:
Check out time is strictly 10am unless agreed in advance with hosts
Aircon/ceiling fans/lights to be turned off (also when you go out during your stay)
All personal food/drinks/ belongings to be removed
Dishwasher to be packed and turned on
All other areas to be left generally clean and tidy
Rubbish to be removed to wheelie bins
House to be securely locked and 1 set of keys is to be placed on the dining table and the other set in the key safe
