Об этом жилье
Our charming gite Walnut sits nestled in the upper slopes of the peaceful hamlet of La Peyruzel, near Daglan, next to its sister gite Truffle and right in the heart of the stunning Perigord Noir. This two bedroomed cottage has far reaching views across the valley to the hamlet of Le Peyruzel and it ancient Chateau where you can sit relax and watch the stunning sunsets
Walnut is a delightful stone cottage that was once a cattle byre. It sits perched on a slope overlooking Le Peyruzel and from your private terrace you have outstanding long rolling views. You can sit and watch the sun come up in the early morning across the valley and later watch the evening sunsets from this spot. The newly built swimming pool sits just beyond Walnut's own terrace with it's own private gate leading into the pool area. The gite itself is charming and filled with character, with a cool tiled floor downstairs and honey coloured stone walls and a little step down into the cosy sitting room with windows and views from all three sides. The handmade wooden kitchen still retains the original cattle stalls which are now formed into part of the space. You will find plenty of storage, full size fridge with freezer, gas hob and fan oven plus all the equipment you will need. The dining area has large glass doors that open out onto your terrace letting the fresh air, sunshine and the views roll in. Up the wooden stairs you will find a newly fitted shower room with an additional rain head. The master bedroom is a genuinely lovely room with windows on both sides. It has great views over the valley on one side and across the fields on the other. The bed is super king size width made up of two single mattresses. There is room in here for a cot or a Z bed if required. There is loads of hanging and drawer space
The second bedroom is a pretty room with fitted with full size bunk beds plus plenty of storage too
All our guest can have a space to park close to the gite. The gravel courtyard is open to both you and one other possible set of guests plus the owner. A laundry room sits in the courtyard with sink, washing machine, dryer, and ironing facilities. The pool will be shared with you and one other family.

I am married to Jerry and we have three children now all grown up and living independently. We have recently moved to live permanently in the stunning Perigord Noir, Dordogne region of France. We have just bought a small house for us to live in with two really charming two bedroomed gites. Until our move we ran a Christmas Decorating business that we set up 10 years ago. Jerry worked full time for the Charity Age UK and I owned an interiors shop in Eastbourne, close to where we lived in the UK. Our plan now is to enjoying exploring this beautiful area, learn to speak French. (Jerry is already pretty good) and enjoy running a small gite busines . We are both very sociable people and love to entertain, walk, cycle and ski. We are also learning to love gardening!
We're are really excited about having people come to stay with us here as our experience via Airbnb in our last house was a huge success. We surprised ourselves with how easy it was to host people in our own home and were both looking forward to offering our guests their own accommodation and private space this time. It will be a pleasure to meet and greet new people and share with them our favourite places to visit and discover.
