Our "Heart of DuPont" apartment is located on a bustling street literally in the heart of DuPont Circle (!) amid well-maintained stately brownstones. The location is hard to equal; it is a mere 3 blocks from DuPont Circle and the DuPont Metro Station (Red Line). The neighborhood is prized not only for its general sense of festivity and liveliness but its proximity to other locations; walk 3 blocks to the East and you are in Logan Circle, walk 4 blocks to the South and find yourself on K Street. Each block reveals new adventures. You are, quite simply, in the heart of it all.
This urban apartment is spacious and light with high ceilings and beautiful antiques making this a welcome refuge from a day of spent sightseeing or in meetings. Enjoy the front patio for a morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine as you scan your maps and guidebooks, read the paper or plan your day.
Whether you are in Washington for business or vacation you will appreciate the convenience of a large work-space, WIFI, and a flat-screen TV with cable service. The full kitchenette adds to your convenience; keep snacks and prepare your own meals when you are not out enjoying the vibrant restaurant scene just beyond your front door.
If you are a party of more than two the love seat folds out to a twin bed which is perfect for families.
About your neighborhood:
DuPont Circle is the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue's Embassy Row and Connecticut Avenue with plenty of restaurants, boutiques and trendy shops. In the Winter months you will find scores of young professionals and city dwellers bundled up and congregating over hot chocolate, coffee and croissants at any one of the neighborhoods reputable eateries.
As the weather warms, head to DuPont Circle (proper) and sit down for a game of chess, take tight-rope-walking lessons or listen to street poets and amateur existentialists wax-philosophical for the relaxed crowds who gather around the Circle's fountain.
In the Summer months impromptu concerts often happen as street musicians, choirs and even marching bands set up shop. Come experience what the New Yorker called, "The most eclectic urban neighborhood South of New York" and heralded by Gore Vidal as "A bastion of entertaining opposites; where commerce and capitalism freely mix with creativity and progressive vision."
Walk to everything you need; Metro or bike to our National Mall with all the museums and monuments or just about everywhere else you could want to go.
Did we mention your price includes the 14.5% DC tax?
