My home is located in the Tremé neighborhood. The location is fantastic - City Park and the French Quarter, walking distance to Jazz Fest! It's good for couples, solo folks, and small groups of friends. The Degas House and Benachi House are two blocks away, as is historic Bayou Road: a lovely little strip Pagoda Cafe (awesome breakfast tacos), The Kitchen Witch, and Domino Sound Records. Whole Foods and the Broad Theater are super close as well.
My home is a classic shotgun built in the early 1930's. You have a completely private and secure front entrance, a front porch (set up with furniture to enjoy the afternoons & have a glass of wine), a sunny living room, a calming bedroom and shared bathroom. Your sleeping area and living room are lockable (I live in the other side of the shotgun). Mini fridge, microwave, hot water heater, coffeemaker, and utensils are provided.
Immerse yourself in the glories of this historic house: with many charming original features, such as hardwood floors, beautiful French doors... and the plumbing! There is a lovely clawfoot tub.
Coffee, tea, fruit and yogurt are provided, as well as soap, shampoo, conditioner and towels. The red sofa in the living room is cozy and converts to a pull out bed. The all natural bamboo foam queen mattress is soft yet firm. You will get a great night of rest here! The pillows provided are hypoallergenic. My home is a centrally located, clean and comfortable base from which you can explore this magical city.
I live in the other side of the apartment, which has an independent entrance at the back of the house and is separated by a locked door. The front two rooms are 100% yours for the duration of the stay, and the bathroom is shared.
Bikes available upon request.

We are sisters and grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. We've lived in Nevada, Washington D.C., New York, New Orleans, Canada and southern Italy, and soon, Philadelphia. Because of this, cultures and people from all places in the world are welcome in our home. We love art, travel, dance, music, film, nature, food and photography.
New Orleans is a an actively social city of enthusiasm, flow, creativity and timelessness - a rabbit hole of the unique, raw and beautiful. It's important to share our home and its history with fellow travelers. There really is something for everyone! In the words of Robert Frost, we always encourage guests to take the road "less traveled by" - you will have a great time here in a mixed and diverse environment.
As hosts, we live literally under the same roof. We're here, but tend to give guests space and room to do their own thing.
