Our stunning studio hideaway, newly renovated in 2013 by a Parisian interior designer, is located in the very heart of the Marais; steeped in history, this is one of the city’s most vibrant, beautiful and safe neighbourhoods. Situated on a quiet side street, our bright, sunny studio of 27 metres square faces attractive buildings opposite, and is surrounded by excellent restaurants, speciality food shops, designer shopping and some of the best museums and sights Paris has to offer.
You are only steps away from the Pompidou Centre, the Picasso and Carnavalet Museums, the National Archives and the Place des Vosges. The River Seine, Notre Dame and Hotel de Ville are just 5-10 minutes’ walk away, with the Musee du Louvre, Musee d’Orsay, and the Jardin des Tuileries all at a further few minutes. We are perfectly placed for the best RER and metro links, both within Paris and from the airport, please see more detail below.
In keeping with the 17th century architecture of the area, our designer has retained the building’s original beams, yet created an open, airy top-floor studio (4th floor, no lift, broad, shallow stairs)with every modern facility. For home from home comfort, the kitchen space includes dishwasher, washing machine / tumble dryer, four halogen cooking rings, a combination microwave / convection oven, as well as a full-sized fridge and a bistro table seating four.
A uniquely designed bookcase conceals the sleeping area with double bed, thus affording privacy whilst maintaining a spacious feel. A luxury king-sized sofa bed (suitable for everyday use, and folds away made up) provides comfortable additional sleeping for two if required in the main living area. The television has multiple channels, including CNN and BBC world, and there is a double docking station (iPod /iPad), and a DVD player.
A surprise mock book case then leads to the immaculate bathroom where a large, luxury shower incorporates a large rain-effect fixed head, multiple body jets, and a separate handset. A professional quality hairdryer is provided.
The studio offers generous storage space. All bed linen and towels are provided. For your convenience, there is an iron and ironing board, as well as a clothes maiden and an electric fan should you require it.
You will be welcomed at the apartment by Chris, who has fantastic local knowledge and will be happy to offer advice and recommendations for your stay. Please also feel welcome to refer to our regularly updated information folder in the studio; we hope you will like some of our own suggestions and favourites.
We are happy to arrange additional cleaning if you would like this during your stay. Please ask for the rates, which vary according to frequency. Taxi transfer from the airport can be arranged on request. If in advance of an anticipated late arrival, you would like to arrange for basic shopping to have been done on your arrival, please do ask and this can also be provided, with at least 48 hours notice, and for a charge. For a special occasion, we will of course be delighted to arrange flowers, champagne or chocolate for you on request.
We will endeavour to accommodate your check-in requirements flexibly, however check in is usually from 2:00pm, and check out by 10:00am.
