It would be hard to be negative about this apartment. It is finished to a very high spec with amazing amounts of storage. TV in lounge and master bedroom.
The location is great - looking over a beach-side car park to the beach and Bay. The beach might be a 2 minute walk, maybe less! Your car is parked outside behind the apartment and a very short walk to the door.
During our stay we met Wendy the owner, Andrew the building supervisor and had some dealings with friendly security men and cleaners. All were very friendly and helpful. There is 24 hour security which is comforting.
I think this apartment is fitted out to a higher spec than others in this Santos complex, so bear that in mind if comparing. The price for this was high, but well worth it.
There is a massive balcony with a braai (BBQ) area where you can burn charcoal, but not wood. The balcony area can be viewed by apartments on upper floors, but that did not worry us.
Kitchen is well kitted out with large fridge freezer. Washing machine fitted plus a separate tumble drier (in a shower-room.) Two bathrooms, only one with a shower.
The only negative in a host of positives is the lack of air-con. We found it very hot at night. We are from the UK after all! Even sleeping with the balcony door open (and not everyone will do that) the bedroom stayed warm. Maybe a ceiling fan in each bedroom would be an enhancement for the future?
There are two beach cafes within about 300m. We did not eat in either but they offer snack plus meat and seafood dishes. To the left the Pavilion is an old building and a little tired. To the right is a more popular pub attached to the quirky back-packer hostel where the residents sleep in an old train.
When in town do eat at Kaai4 in the harbour area. You can see the location from the apartment but not walk to it as a private yacht club blocks the route.
Thank you Wendy for all your help and providing a wonderful apartment. We would recommend this place to anyone.
