Hot Tub/jacuzzi jetted tubs: Please supervise children at all times while in the hot tub/jetted tubs. Don’t allow them to stand on the sides or jump in. Please be sure the water is several inches above the jets before you turn them on. When using the hot tub, remember there is a certain health risk associated with its use. Use at your own risk. Hot tub water temperatures should never exceed 104 degrees Fahrenheit. A temperature of 100 degrees is considered safe for a healthy adult. Special caution is suggested for young children.Excessive drinking during hot tub use can cause drowsiness which could lead to unconsciousness and subsequently result in drowning. Pregnant women beware! Soaking in water above 102 degrees Fahrenheit can cause fetal damage during the first three months of pregnancy. Pregnant women should stick to the 100degree maximum rule. Before entering the hot tub, users should check the water temperature with an accurate thermometer; hot tub thermostats may err in in regulating water temperatures by as much as four degrees. Persons with medical history of heart disease, circulatory problems, diabetes or blood pressure problems should obtain their physician's advice before using hot tubs. Persons taking medications which induce drowsiness, such as tranquilizers, antihistamines or anticoagulants, should not use hot tubs. If you see something that needs attention, or if something breaks during use, please let me know so that I can take care of it. 18. A note about bugs: the cabin is thoroughly cleaned and regularly checked, however, this is Tennessee. We have infestations of ladybugs and Japanese beetles we call stink bugs. They are not native to this area, but love to come inside for warmth and are difficult to get rid of. If you find a dead ladybug or stink bug, there is no need to panic. They are not indications of dirt or food left out. It's just the reality of life in TN. Nature enjoys the area as much as we enjoy it. Good news: the mattresses have bedbug proof covers on them, so one less species to worry about!

We have six children ranging in age from 12-24 and we live in Nashville, TN. We have enjoyed coming to the Smoky Mountains since we were kids ourselves and love bringing our kids and soon-to-be grand kids here! We are new cabin owners and love the opportunity to be in the Smokies more often! Our favorite things to do in the area include family walks on the Little River trail and an annual day hike up Mt. LeConte. It's a bit of a drive, but we love to rent bikes and enjoy the breathtaking scenery on the 11 mile Cade's Cove loop. We love the old fashioned style of fun in the Smokies---there are so many wholesome family activities here to build memories! There is no place like it in the world! We're delighted to have the opportunity to share our cabin with your family and friends. You'll find our family picture taken in October 2015 in the living area on the first floor. It was taken in Pigeon Forge at Old Time Photo #5.
