This bright, open, freshly remodeled modern Scandinavian-inspired mid-century bungalow is located in the vibrant N. Williams Corridor - just a few blocks from the hotspot, shop, boutique, restaurant, pub, lounge, art, music and fun filled N. Williams, N. Mississippi and Alberta Arts Districts. This is your own private cozy, hip, luxurious home in one of the most walkable, cherished, close-to downtown neighborhoods in the city; every Portland outing and foodie's happy place is within your reach!
The house is a single story two-bedroom, one-bathroom ranch-style home with covered outdoor areas and small contained yards for your use and pleasure. It is 1000 square-feet and sleeps 1 to 4 people (5 if one of you prefers sleeping on a six-foot sofa). The home includes white-washed wide plank wood flooring, ceramic tiling, high-grade appliances and fixtures, concrete counters, vaulted ceilings, modern decor and a mix of handcrafted reclaimed details.
The bright and open space includes a spacious living room and dining area with a large reclaimed farm-style table (made from the home's original Douglas fir ceiling joists), and two bedrooms - the larger with a very comfortable queen-sized bed and the smaller a full-size. The full bathroom comes complete with vaulted ceiling, skylight and soaking tub. And the kitchen, with gas range, cooking accoutrements and generous work-space, is ready for your culinary expression - the extra-large island also offers comfortable seating for three (more if you're feeling cozy!)
Wi-fi, coffee, tea, flatware, dishes, extra towels, extra blankets, Apple TV streaming access (no cable television, however), a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, laundry detergent, and a few emergency snacks and edibles are provided. (There's even an old fashioned DVD player - and around 150 classic DVD's for you to binge upon under the sofa.)
If you need anything else or advice on what to see and where to go and how to get around in the city... just let me know!
Providing you with a comfortable and pleasant experience in Portland is my priority. If there's anything I can do to help, please let me know and I'll do my very best.
As a guest, you have access to the whole house, covered front park, and front yard through the main drive and entrance. Accessible during your stay, there is also a private back patio with a table and seating.
Guests will check-in after 3:00PM on their scheduled arrival day. And on your last day, I ask that you check-out by 11:00AM.
Parking for multiple cars is free directly in front of the house and is extremely easy to access. (I ask that you not park in the carport unless you absolutely feel you must - it currently covers your modern take on the classic picnic table)

I am a fiction author and all-things Portland enthusiast. I spend my days writing eclectic novels and plays and feature films and television series; rebuilding old houses and making modern furniture with recycled lumber; drinking extra-strong local coffee and extra-bitter local beers and wines; finding creative havens in the city, odd free things to up-cycle, entrepreneurial and social impact ventures and interestingly fantastic people; and on occasion I make my loved ones laugh-snort with my consistently awkward mishaps.
I couldn't love Portland more - from its cornucopia of foodie-driven and craft-drink inspired restaurants, food-carts and lounges; to its plethora of grassroots art, music and design-inspired creativity: When you're in town you'll be surrounded by nature's Northwest wonders - abound in hikes, bike paths, and outdoor excursions; and all the creature comforts of a friendly, down-to-earth, cosmopolitan city that just happens to have a snow-capped mountain, dramatic coastline, and world-class wine-country all within a 90 minute drive. I didn't even mention our National treasure... the Columbia Gorge (and you thought I was going to say the Timbers!)
