First off, I want to start by saying how great Melissa was! I didn't get to meet her, but communication wise she was awesome. She responded to my messages very quickly and was even going to let me have my new phone shipped to her house!!!
The only small issue my group and I encountered was at check in, Raggid (Melissa's Assistant) and I spoke on the phone about 3 hours before my arrival and when I actually arrived in SOBE I tried calling him to let him know I made it but I didnt get a response, I tried texting and still didn't get a response. I finally reached out to Melissa and she solved the issue without a problem and he was there to meet us within 5-8 minutes.
The place resembled the pictures, I thought it was actually going to be a house though, but it was an apartment. There were plenty of kitchen utensils (toaster, silverware, plates, etc). Toiletry was very slim (paper towels, toilet paper, wash cloths, towels) so we ended up buying more paper items the 2nd or 3rd day. As for towels most of us brought our own as well as soap so it wasn't a major concern.
Raggid mentioned a laundry room somewhere in the facility but we didn't use it.
The location is IN THE MIDDLE OF IT ALL which, being a group of college students we loved!! We were literally a block away from the beach (ocean Dr.) and close to several restaurants and shops. There is a Walgreens on the same strip at the very top of the street.
PARKING: This was the not so fun part.... so this was my first time ever going to Miami Beach so I had no clue parking was super hectic. Instead of being parked in one area for the whole day we would park in residential parking (FREE: Washington Ave.) from 7a-6p then move to a parking garage which was a $1/hr (Also on Washington, behind the apartment you stay in, through the alley) from 6p-7a. Raggid was nice enough to show us the residential parking and tell us about the $1 garage after we got settled in. We didn't do the garage the first day because we couldn't find it so we parked in a $3/hr garage, but we quickly realized how pricy it would get so I asked Raggid where it was located and he helped out quite a bit!
Hope this helps
