Prime spot over the road from Piha's dramatic surf beach, at the quieter north end.
Large sunny decks, with wonderful indoor-outdoor living, nestled amongst beautiful pohutukawas (the crimson-flowering NZ Christmas tree), with lawn out front for petanque or the kids to play.
Surf over the road, or hikes & wine around fire with lots of games & books in winter.
View the surf from your pillow upstairs in the master bedroom !
Easy access to North Piha Surf Club patrolled area for safe swimming.
We built our beach house over 20 years ago originally as a simple family retreat on Auckland's wild West Coast, but have expanded over the years to accommodate our growing family, still retaining an authentic beach and bush atmosphere. Piha is a special place, exposed to the elements with the ever-present roar of the surf, and native bush-clad hills/cliffs running down almost to the water's edge. We are tucked in the shelter of the trees, straight over the road from the beach, with sea views and very comfortable homely living. You will hopefully love a quintessential NZ experience, yet only 45 minutes from Auckland's CBD!
The main house has an open-plan kitchen, dining, living area surrounded by decks on 3 sides, with several options for outdoor eating. Pick your spot out there, depending on whether you want sun or dappled shade.
Upstairs are 2 double bedrooms (the master bedroom with views out to the surf) plus an adjoining ante-room with 2 single beds.
There is a large studio bedroom with double bed above the separate garage, with its own en suite bathroom, and small sunny deck with great sea, bush and cliff views.
The whole beach house, studio bedroom above the garage, decks, lawn etc will be yours to enjoy during your stay.

Другие важные подробности
Piha has a single general store, the Piha Store, which stocks most essentials, but has no alcohol or fuel. It does do good coffees and pastries though! Nearest supermarkets and petrol stations are in Henderson, which is 20-25 minutes drive back across the ranges towards central Auckland.
There is eating out at the Piha Café (licensed) which does great breakfasts and pizzas, the Piha RSA (Returned Services Association), Piha Bowling Club and South Piha Surf Club. Opening nights vary a bit - ask at the Store.
