With the housing shortage in Denver, this is a modest temporary solution for those of you who are relocating. Staying in this room is cheaper than a hotel & it's a comfy place to stay while you are shopping for your new home. Welcome to Colorado!
Due to the small size of the house, this listing is best suited for 1 person with 1 small pet for any extended stay that exceeds 2 weeks.
This listing is for a room in my small centrally located Cottage.
The house is a 2 bed 1 bath.
Your room has a real comfortable bed.
The shared bathroom is very small and we all use it.
Just let me know what your plans are, and I can accommodate.
Ear plugs are provided in case you are a light sleeper.
I accept Cats and possibly small Dogs depending upon the breed. I have no pets of my own at present so there won't be conflicts there.
I have had guests with Cats so if you are allergic it might not be the best fit for you.
Neighborhood isn't the nicest looking, it is somewhat run down but there have been no issues here and house is comfortable and close to the light rail.
We can arrange for your arrival and coordinate your check in if needed.
There is also a church parking lot across the street where you can park without penalty.
TV and Stereo (HDMI hookup required if you want to connect your computer to watch netflix- I don't have cable or TV services)
All cooking utensils and appliances
Washer and Dryer
Общение с гостями
Think about this as a temporary roommate arrangement.
I live in and use the space as well.
Feel free to ask me for recommendations on housing location, places to sight see, where to eat and how to get around Denver.
Другие важные подробности
This is a modest household in a very humble neighborhood.
At present, the area it is a mostly blue collar, without many frills or amenities aside from its central location.
It is not walkable, you won't be walking to cool spots, as those are a little further out from my neighborhood. That being said it is walking distance to the light rail station which is a 15 min ride that spits you out into the heart of Downtown by Union Station.
There is some transient presence with the Light Rail being so close. People here generally mind their own business and don't bother anyone.
That being said, this is probably more of a situation for someone who is looking for comfortable and affordable accommodations. Staying here will save you money on a hotel room and eating out since we know how pricy that can get.
I've had different reactions from different people, depending upon their background. One guest was from Harlem NY and said this spot was super cute and she was very comfortable using light rail while another guest told me that her co-workers thought the neighborhood was kind of sketchy. She took the light rail to work for 3 months in spite of her co-workers assumptions about my area and would frequently use uber to get around.
Something to take that into consideration while shopping for a spot. I like to be transparent and set realistic expectations so let me know if my description is off.
Respect and courtesy are important to me.
I expect some common sense things to happen such as:
Clean up after yourself
Be careful with my things, if you don't know how it works, Ask me!
Don't smoke inside the house, this includes 420 use. There is a vent that connects our bedrooms so I very much appreciate when someone smokes outside.
10pm - 8am is quiet time.
I require 24 hr notice for overnight guests and there will be an extra charge for each person.
This is just a courtesy thing, I don't mind people- I just like to be given a heads up on when to expect them so I can plan around it on my end.

When possible, I travel exclusively using Airbnb.
It just makes sense to support real people.
I'm looking forward to making friends in new and unexpected places.
Respectful, considerate and courteous of others property and boundaries.
I am looking to engage with people who share my philosophy.
Lets make some memories!
Favorite places I have visited are Savannah Georgia, Smyrna Beach Florida, Carbondale Colorado, Brooklyn NY and I look forward to exploring many new spots. Maybe you will host me next time!
Make sure to communicate with me about your expectations
I will either give you the space you desire, or help you plan your stay with me.
In the summer, I offer bike ride brewery tours to my guests. Don't worry, we can take the light rail back.
Bring your own bikes, or use one of mine.
Payment for this tour is realized in the form of drinks throughout the tour and lunch or dinner. It is possible to hit several Breweries, an urban winery and a cider bar, it just depends upon how you want to customize your trip.
I look forward to making your acquaintance.
Colorado is waiting for you!
