Just one block off Tel Aviv's famous Gordon Beach, in residential peaceful Rupin Street, stands this Bauhaus, which was totally renovated 3 years ago. One block eastward, runs the commercial Ben-Yehuda St. with its supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants, shoemaker, tailor..., laundromats and other little small businesses.
Optional: renting a private parking spot, on premise.
My boutique holiday apartments reside in two historic buildings built by the same architect in 1937. These Bauhaus structures were erected 80 meters from one another in the (then) new neighborhood at the pioneering north end of Tel Aviv, close to the beach.
I, together with many others have a love for both buildings, but I must share with new comers the underlying differences between them:
15 Rupin St (where I grew up) was renovated internally and externally in 1994. The apartments at number 15 are homey and spacious but are not luxurious – although they do possess everything one would need for a perfect holiday apartment.
7 Rupin St (where I recently resided with my family) was totally gutted and restored according to Bauhaus preservation regulations as part of Tel Aviv White City Heritage site. Renovations ended in January 2009. These apartments are unique and chic, most of them are with balconies and park views.
