Completely restored apartment by its owners; comfortable, cozy and bright. Two spacious bedrooms, two full baths and an extra sleeping space in the loft area. A comfortable living room, work space and a spacious fully equipped kitchen will make your stay feel as enjoyable as being in your own home.
Bamboo wood floors, exposed brick walls over 2 feet wide, different views of the imposing Church of the Basilica and a splendid terrace give the house a special charm making it a beautiful space.
Casa Basílica is part of Casa Najas, a mansion built in the 1920's by architect Josep Constantino Najas who lived there with his family. In 1990 the mansion was sold and divided between several buyers. In 2012 architect Fernanda Ortiz and her husband bought and fully restored a portion of the house consisting of two apartments and a rooftop terrace with stunning views overlooking the America's largest Neo-Gothic Basilica del Voto Nacional. The house is located in Quito's colonial district, a world heritage site since 1978.
The restoration was careful and respectful of what the house was and tries to bring to surface the building process that took place over 100 years ago.
You will have access to a beautiful rooftop terrace where you can enjoy wonderful views of the city center and of the Basilica.
