My place is close to nightlife, public transport (2 minutes away from Barfusserplatz), shopping, Marktplatz, the Munster, the river, and the museums. It's 4 stops on the tram to the main SBB (or a 15 minute walk). It is right in the centre of the old town but completely quiet as it's off a side street. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers - we have a study which you can use to take calls and high speed internet.
We are right in the heart of Basel old town, close to shops, restaurants, museums (Kunst, Ethnographic, etc) and right next to Basel's famous Schluggstube pub. The room is furnished with a king-sized bed, antique french dresser, and a space to hang your clothes. It has an en-suite bath and shower exclusively for your use. The apartment has a fireplace in the open plan living area, tastefully decorated with Moroccan rugs and exposed beams throughout. We also have an additional sofa bed in a study if you have a third person. We welcome well behaved pets (but you will have to bring your own bedding/food/play toys for your pet!).
You are welcome to use the communal living area. We also have a balcony which is perfect for summer bbqs and outside dining. You are also welcomed to use the kitchen (help yourself to tea and cofee!) - but not for too complicated meals (i.e. fish) as it's open plan and the smell travels! Please also bear in mind that the kitchen is a shared space and you are expected to clean up after using it. :)

We will be around to answer any of your questions and can offer suggestions and tips on where to go and what to do in Basel! On Saturdays we also go to the farmer's market over the French border and you are welcomed to join us. We also cook occasionally and you are welcomed to share a meal with us. You can also help yourself to our tea and coffee cabinet.
Другие важные подробности
We are on the 3rd and 4th floors of a building with no elevator. Please consider if you unable to walk up stairs!
- We are on the top floor of a 15th century converted building and we don't have an elevator. Sorry!
- No shoes in the flat please.
- You are welcome to help yourself to tea and coffee in the mornings. There are bakeries nearby to grab that morning croissant if so inclined :)
- Please keep our flat key safe. It is really expensive to replace (and you will likely be asked to bear replacement cost!).

30-something, married to a certain Kofi.
We currently live in Basel (previously London, Manila, Malaysia, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Ghana).
We love travelling - favourite countries are India, Turkey, Greece, France and South East Asia. We also love food - and good wine...and meeting people from all over the world. :)
Kofi works 10 minutes away and I freelance from home and and travel to London occasionally for work, so I'm not sure how much you will see of us! You are most welcomed, wherever you are from, and we hope you enjoy your stay with us.
