A room with an attached private bathroom/toilet (22m2) only accessible from the bedroom: 100% privacy!
In a quiet residential area, 10km from downtown Amsterdam and 8km from Schiphol Airport.
Free parking, free WIFI, free coffee & tea. Clean bedding & towels.
A 5-minute walk to the bus stop.
Computer & fast internet.
The room is designed for 2 people and then spacious. For more guests, mattresses can be added at the expense of living space.
Tax is included. In Amsterdam, it is on top.
It is the only bedroom on the first floor and separated from the other bedrooms on the ground floor. The room is accessible by a spiral staircase from the living room to the 1st floor.
The bedroom has a 160x200 bed, a chest of drawers, a desk with chair, an easy chair & ottoman and a smart TV with NETFLIX. Free WiFi & computer with wired internet.
The room itself has a kettle to make tea and a Senseo coffee machine.
The room is designed for two people and then quite spacious. For a 3rd and 4th guest, mattresses can be added. It then replaces the sofa you see in the picture. Of course, this comes at the expense of living space. Probably not a problem if you're a family with kids and on the go most of the day. 3 adults are also very well possible. For 4 adults it is a bit tight and there is little space left for the luggage. See the pictures and decide yourself.
There is fresh air through the door to the roof. With the door ajar, nobody from outside can enter.
Upon check-in, you get a key so you are free to come and go whenever you want.
Your room and bathroom are your private space. We will not enter during your stay. Please, respect my private space: the living room, my little 'library' overlooking the backyard, the kitchen, our bedrooms & my office.
Please, ask if you like to put some drinks in the fridge in the kitchen or if you need plates or something.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT CARD
To buy a public transport card (the so-called 'OV chipkaart') go to a public transport office at the train Stations (also at the airport), a GVB Tickets & Info or a Sales & Charging Machine at a metro station.
You pay €7,50 for the card and you put a balance (money) on the card. A single journey from my house to the center of Amsterdam costs about €2,40. From the airport, it is less than €2,= to my house with this card and €5,= if you pay cash. With the 'OV chipkaart' you can travel throughout the Netherlands by train, bus, tram and metro. You have to check in AND out every train, bus, tram and metro you take. If you forget to check out, you pay the maximum price of a one-way trip.
You can also buy the Amsterdam & REGION Travel Ticket for one or more days.. This ticket is valid on Connexion busses like the 194 or 145 to Badhoevedorp and most of the tourist attractions throughout the region For information 'where you can go' and ticket prices search the internet for "Amsterdam region day ticket". Do NOT BUY the GVB (multi-) day ticket. It is only valid in Amsterdam (not on the 194 and 145 to Badhoevedorp).
The only official tourist offices in Amsterdam are at Schiphol Airport (Arrivals 2) and the Central Station (in front of CS in an old style wooden house called Noord-Zuid Hollandsch Koffiehuis - North-South Dutch Coffee House). In the city center, there is an interactive tourist information computer touch-screen located at the Stadsschouwburg Theater box office (Leidseplein 26).
Consider the following (tourist) passes:
-the "Amsterdam Holland Pass" (valid for 1 year)
-the "Museum card" (valid for 1 month, when you want to visit at least 4 museums in the Netherlands and want to avoid the queues).
