This private room is for the traveler looking for a fun, authentic Brooklyn experience. Come stay in a loft apartment feat. stunning natural light and a furnished rooftop patio w/ a view of the Empire State building and Manhattan Skyline! I am a performer living in NYC, and I love recommending underground shows and unique things to do. You'll love getting to know my adorable dog Star! The L train/subway is just a 2 minute walk away and whisks you to Manhattan in only 15 min. Welcome to Brooklyn!
Come stay in a private room in a beautiful, clean Brooklyn loft apartment with gorgeous natural light from a skylight and stunning views of the Manhattan skyline, including the Empire State Building itself! You won't believe how beautiful how the city looks lit up at night from this view. The apartment features a private personal patio as well as direct access to the furnished rooftop patio deck just one floor up (complete with dining table and chairs and a grill). I highly recommend enjoying coffee, a smoke, or wine up on the rooftop! The apartment is quiet and relaxing - far above the bustle and noise on the street below.
The STAR attraction is definitely my dog, a Labrador named Star! She will cuddle with you anytime you like, though she will also leave you alone if you'd rather not. She could not be sweeter, rarely if ever barks, and is well trained and very calm. She adores meeting new people, showing her tricks, playing fetch, and belly rubs. For dog lovers, she will make you feel like you are at home in a big city.
This two-bedroom apartment is on the fourth floor (loft/penthouse) of a new walk-up building in East Williamsburg, the most happening and authentic part of Brooklyn right now. It's very diverse and artistic and has tons of hot restaurants and hip bars - like Champs (best vegan restaurant in NY) and Dunwell Donuts (world famous donuts) and organic bodegas, such as the coolest and healthiest bodega I've ever seen in the city: Azure, right around the block! I am happy to recommend the best brunches, bars and dining options in the area.
The private bedroom you'll stay in is a cozy guest bedroom with a very comfortable Queen-sized bed, high ceilings and a wardrobe to fit your personal items and clothes. The bedroom accommodates 1-2 people, and you are always welcome to make use of the entire spacious apartment and rooftop patio. I sleep in the other bedroom in the apartment with Star, my dog.
The apartment features a full kitchen with marble countertops - complete with brand new stove, oven, dishwasher and kitchen. The bright living room area features comfortable couch, dining area, speakers and record player, piano, and a flat screen television. The bathroom is clean and I provide fresh towels for you. Wireless internet, A/C and heat are included. I have a great sound system and a record player / iPod hook-up. I've got some groovy records - always feel free to put one on. I also own a piano/keyboard in the apartment, which you are welcome to play if you are a musician. There's a free washer and dryer are located in-unit in the laundry room in unit. Everything in the apartment is yours to use. I am LGTBQ and 420 friendly. No-smoking in the apartment but the rooftop patio (one floor up) is perfect for it.
As an added bonus, I work and perform at comedy theaters all over NYC, and I can recommend unique shows and things to check out (tickets usually under $15), if you're looking for a cheap, fun night out!
I can be available to check you in person anytime in after 11 AM, and I'm always cool with guests storing your luggage upon check-out if you have a later flight to catch and need a place to leave your bags while you wait for it.
The neighbors are all in their late 20s- early 30s and very friendly, and I'll be staying in the other bedroom in the apartment along with my adorable, friendly dog Star.

I can be as present or hands-off as you like in the check-in and out process. I provide a comprehensive binder of apartment information and neighborhood recommendations (restaurants, bars, events, parks, breakfast/coffee spots, shows at my theater, activities, etc). I'll give each guest your own set of keys so you can explore freely! I am usually around the apartment morning and daytime and gone at night.
And I'm always happy to recommend non-tourist stuff to do, including comedy shows and theater for you to see!

Adventurer, improviser, performer, actor, and teacher in NY!
Hi! I moved from Chicago to NY with a one-man show I created and performed called "Sparkle Hour!" and I've stayed here ever since. I regularly perform improv comedy around town and I am always happy to hook up guests with non-tourist show recommendations and discount tickets when I can swing them!
I live in East Williamsburg with my adorable Black Labrador "Star" who is the light of my life. She is a people-person and very friendly, well-trained, and does not bark.
I work from home daily and go out almost every night performing or doing the NY social thang. As I live and work from home, I keep the place very clean and tidy.
