The neighbors can see into the house and yard on all (URL HIDDEN) it was very cozy. I was impressed they were able to fit a hot tub alongside the fence. It was a tight squeeze. We had everything we needed so it was way better than a hotel. Nice to have a fully stocked kitchen. It was weird for me to be staying in someone's home who wasnt home. There was a lot of dust on the window sill. I walked into the living room and collected a giant hairball from somewhere that stuck between my toes, which was pretty gross. The floor needed cleaned but i feel like I rushed her because she asked me to checkin after 4 but I was already there and ready at 2. I got in just after 3. I was very grateful to get in before 4pm. Besides the floors and dusting it was pretty clean. We loved the location and proximity to shops and restaurants. The beach wasn't what I was expecting, the sound is more like a lake feel and has a narrow rocky shore and a few paved areas above the beach. Coming from sthe Oregon Coast their beach wasn't that impressive...I couldn't have a bon fire or take a walk in the sand and I definitely wouldn't go in the water. There was a lot of slimey algae stuff at the water's edge and it looked like it was pretty deep, there were boats in it. It's a nice viewing point and there are several places to eat. I took away a star for the dust and hairball, otherwise it was fabulous. I'd prefer a more private setting but in Seattle everyone is stacked on top of eachother. We were there for a concert and missed half of it, we arrived an hour early. It took over an hour to get everyone in our line into the building so we missed the entire opening show. Then we tried to Uber or Lyft back to the house and there werent any rides available for 30 mins and lyft wanted 50 bucks. Every restaurant had a 30 min wait and it was so loud and shoulder to shoulder. I don't know how people live in Seattle. I couldn't handle the people and the proximity of everyone. Even grocery shopping took 10 minutes to find parking. I feel like my disappointments werent the hosts fault. If I didn't rush her she would have had time to dust.
