There is an abundance of great restaurants in St. Louis like Pappy's or Bogart's for BBQ, Annie Gunns, Epic Pizza, Chava's is superb, as is Tonys, or try one of the great Italian Restaurants in The Hill area. Craving an incredible hot dog? Then head to Steve's hot dogs on Magnolia in the Hill area. Definitely try local favorites; Gooey Butter Cake, yummy Ted Drew's Frozen Custard, toasted ravs and Gus's Pretzels.
Soulard Market is the place to go for fresh veggies/fruits/baked goods (and an awesome Bloody Mary). The Clayton area has some wonderful places to eat also, or head to The Loop area off Delmar for a variety of cool shops and restaurants. Soulard and the Layfayette Square Park area also have some great bars and restaurants.
Head to Forest Park and talk to the animals at one of the top rated Zoos in the Us; The Saint Louis Zoo (and it's free!). Forest Park also holds our incredible Saint Louis Art Museum or play a round of golf while at the park. Stop at the Boat house afterwards for a ride on personal paddle boat or R & R. Grant's Farm is always a good time.
Lots of great trails for biking. Enjoy the new Ballpark Village and take in a game at Busch Stadium with our St.Louis Cardinals. Before or after the game head to the spectacular (360) Three Sixty Rooftop bar. It is one of the most dynamic settings in downtown St. Louis. Savor BBQ pork tacos by the rooftop fire pits and local artisan cheeses from a contemporary small plate menu. Check out the Arch. Stroll & dine in the hip Central West End area and also take in the laid back vibes of the Grove area with fun restaurants. Check out the antiques on Cherokee Street.
Now that spring is upon us you must check out Missouri Botanical Garden, Tower Grove Park and Shaw Park or peruse some books at the newly renovated Downtown St. Louis Public Library in it's beautiful, historic building. If you are into choo-choos, check out the Missouri Transportation Museum.
Enjoy a ghost tour at the haunted Lemp Mansion and go crazy at the highly imaginative, hands-on City Museum and/or, The St.Louis Science Center.
