Our house is just a 7 minute walk from Acton Town tube station, perfect for heading into central London on the Piccadilly or District lines (30 mins) and handy for Heathrow airport (45 mins). The house is light and airy. The spare room has a balcony (and hammock!) and a private bathroom. There are great communal spaces downstairs. The garden gets lots of sunshine all day.
The house is in an ideal location for those seeking peace and quiet within easy reach of London's top attractions. Central London's shopping and theatre districts are just 30 minutes away by tube, and the museums and galleries of South Kensington (Natural History Museum, V&A, Royal Albert Hall) are even closer. Chiswick High Street, complete with Michelin-starred restaurants, is just 20-minute walk from the front door, and the ever popular Charlotte's Place restaurant is just 10 minutes away.
Downstairs, the living room is complete with Sky TV, Amazon Prime and Netflix. In the kitchen there's a gas hob and pots and pans, crockery and cutlery. Bi-folding doors lead out into the garden, with patios at either end to get the best of the sunshine in the morning and the evening.
I am a children's publisher at Penguin, working in central London. I live with my husband Charlie, who I met in 2003.
Together we enjoy climbing, skiing, cycling, reading, watching great TV shows, and New Yorker cartoons.
We have lived in the Ealing/Acton area for 6 years and love it here. We're happy to tell you all about the local area and connections into and out of London - just let us know what you need! We are happy to be contacted during your stay, but will also let you have your own space if you prefer.
