Welcome to your own peaceful retreat in the heart of vibrant Fitzroy. Wake up to birdsong, pop on a record and enjoy the sunny balcony. Take a morning stroll through beautiful Carlton Gardens. You're just a two minute walk from Gertrude and Brunswick Street cafes, restaurants and bars and a fifteen minute walk to the CBD.
The treetop apartment is our little home near the city. It's not a professional Airbnb, so please be sure to read our description and view photos before deciding to book. Our place is perfect for those wanting to experience a real Fitzroy apartment, but if you are looking for an immaculate hotel type place, this is probably not the best pick for you.
Our lounge room is filled with light and sunshine, a big, comfortable couch and artworks by Australian and New Zealand artists. All of the windows in our home look into the treetops. It's a lovely quiet space to come home to after a day in the city.
Please note we do not have a dining table as we prefer to keep our living area as spacious as possible and eat on the couch and coffee table or at the park.
The kitchen offers plenty of bench space and cooking equipment, cookbooks and essentials like tea, oil, salt, pepper and spices. And another tree top view from the kitchen sink.
Our bedroom window provides a city skyline view, lots of light and sunshine and indoor plants. The mattress is memory foam, pillows and doona are goose-down.
The bathroom is tiled throughout and filled with light. It offers a large shower and excellent water pressure.
Access to the entire apartment, balcony and off-street parking space. Please note the apartment is on the top floor—4 flights of stairs.

I'm originally from New Zealand and moved to Melbourne in 2011. I'm a visual artist and I work from my studio in Fitzroy. I also run a small business and work from home (and multiple cafes!) during the week. I enjoy visiting galleries, drawing, gardening and hiking. My partner Sam is originally from Sydney and works as a web developer in nearby Collingwood. He spends his spare time helping friends with projects, collecting records and learning tumbling and handstands at the local circus class. We are lucky to live a flexible lifestyle that we fill with travel and camping trips. We rent our apartment when we are out of town. We absolutely adore our neighbourhood and what we have come to call "Sacred Saturdays"... a sleepy morning at our favourite Colombian Cafe, visiting garage sales and vintage stores and reading in the nearby park.
