Light, airy, new and modern gem on 8 secluded acres. The house is close to Lake Garfield, Monterey General Store, Beartown State Forest, Ski Butternut. Gorgeous sun filled loft-like spaces, wood stove, heated concrete floor, sunny deck, starry skies and quiet. Unplug and relax in this artist's retreat. Short hike to Dry Hill or Steeple Top trails. Guests can simply walk down Harmon Rd. to retrieve your own maple syrup at Low Country Farm or fresh goat cheese at Rawson Brook Farm.
We call our weekend house, the Workshop because it is the renovated former workshop for a respected local furniture maker. We are architects and re imagined the building into an open, Scandinavian inspired, modernist loft. The Workshop is filled with things that make us most happy in life; artwork, beautiful objects, books, records and cooking supplies.
All spaces can be accessed. Guests are asked not to enter the basement unless necessary, and not to climb onto the storage loft.
