For starters, Kendra is by for an exemplary host. She responded quickly to any questions, and made sure we felt at home at her place, offering us food, and full use of the house.
The place is also in a convenient location, no more than 20 minutes outsides of pretty much every area of Austin we cared to visit.
Our biggest gripes about our stay, is that house is better geared towards a family staying, rather than our party of 8 adults. The two other rooms in the house are kids rooms, that made you feel like a giant, with stiff beds, and tiny furniture.
The other issues was the unexpected pet odor, likely cat smell that permeated through out the house, which might not bother people accustom to pets of their own, but was less than accommodating to a friend who had pet allergies.
The other issue was, when we went to wash our clothes, both the washer and dryer already had clothes in it. It's never fun having to take out other people's dirty clothes. But to add to this, the washing machine didn't want to complete the rinse cycle, so we were left with having manually straining the water out of clothes, and drying them, a few hours before we had to catch a flight. Good thing the dryer worked exceptionally well. Perhaps this was just bad luck on our part, and the machine stopped working on our stay. But it did char the experience.
But overall it was a good stay, minus a few annoyances, which an expetionally gracious host, who provided us breakfast snacks, and a stocked fridge to use, and gave us full access to the house, more than made up for.
