Looking for a place to stay in Portland with nice hosts? We're here for you! Rent a room and get all the amenities: in addition to a cosy bed and dresser, you'll have access to a kitchen, bathroom, washer and dryer, and if you're planning on working during your stay, we have a sit/stand desk available in your room as well as an extra monitor (HDMI).
The room is perfect for 1 or 2 people, with huge windows facing South and another facing East. The room has french doors with a privacy curtain.
Our house is on a quiet street close to a great selection of bars, restaurants, and cafes, and is a short drive or bike ride into town or nearby commercial neighborhoods.
We are also close by to Reeds College and PCC Southeast Campus
You’ll love our place because of the local flavor, literally! I'm from Oregon and my wife is French, and we love to take advantage of all the food here. We love our house because it's nearby Foster Rd and all its restaurants and bars, but magically silent to the street noise. It is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
The top floor is where our bedroom is, and everything you need is on the first floor/basement. There is room in the fridge and in the pantry, a full kitchen for you to use, washer and dryer in the basement, a cosy living room and a shared bathroom with a bathtub.
You are welcome to use you backyard as well, even though we'll ask you to come back in after 10pm (our next door neighbors have a tiny baby who need his sleep).
The porch has a table and chairs, make yourselves a home!

We mainly work from home, and even though we like to work from coffee shops and libraries, we'll be able to recommend places to eat, visit, drink and also where to go for Trivia night. Having used Airbnb a lot while traveling ourselves, we want to share Portland and stories with our guests and are happy to spent time chatting.
Другие важные подробности
We are trying to make the most of Portland recycling and composting system, so there's a compost bin in the kitchen for all foodscraps.
Also, the City of Portland requires that hosts keep a guest log book including the names, home addresses, and license plate numbers (if you come in a vehicle), as well as the dates of your stay. If you want more information we can provide a link, but Airbnb doesn't allow links in this description. Your personal information will be stored securely and not shared unless requested by the City of Portland.

Hey! I left Oregon to travel around the country (and a bit of the world) when I discovered that exploring new places makes me happy. I'm based in Oregon again, but my wife Elodie and I still travel as much as we can, usually together. I'm a language nerd, which fits well with my traveling goals. When staying in a new place I'll be out exploring most of the day, finding some historical site or then next cup of coffee... unless I need to get some work done, which is quiet - I'm a web developer.
I'm big into biking, local history, nature, and trying to learn the local lingo.
As for a life motto (one of AirBnB's prompts), this sums up at least my views with regards to traveling: "Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things can not be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." - Mark Twain
