This home is a 1970-ish double-wide on a very private 1 acre lot in Sunriver (Airbnb doesn't recognize the city of Sunriver, which is actually 20 miles from Bend) that backs up to Deschutes National Forest. Very close to Mt. Bachelor, Bend, and many activities. Access to 2 nearby boat launch/river access areas through the HOA. Pet friendly! Also included is a canoe, 2 bikes, a gas BBQ, and a hammock. Not available the date you want? Contact me. Some dates are blocked for me and I'm flexible.
This IS a 1970-something double wide. It's very comfortable and cozy, but it ain't fancy! The property is wonderful, though - an acre of land that backs up to miles and miles of Deschutes National Forest. If you walk toward the 2:00 position out the back door, you’ll reach a dirt path that leads to a dirt fire access road that meanders through the forest. Makes for a really nice walk!
There are 2 bedrooms: a master with a queen sized bed, and a 2nd bedroom with 2 queen beds. The trundle bed in the family room pops up to a double bed, the sofa in the living room is a queen sofa sleeper, and there are also sleeping bags and a small air mattress in the master bathroom closet.
There are 2 bathrooms. In the master bathroom the shower does not work so the shower in the 2nd bathroom is the only one working at this time.
The water source is a well, and the iron content in the area is pretty high. The water is safe to drink, but it does leave brown stains, like in the toilets and sinks. So just know that those fixtures aren't dirty, they just stain! I try to keep everything clean with Iron Out, but in between visits some staining does occur.
There is a washing machine, but it is cold water only. You'll need to turn the spigot on first, then please turn it back off before you leave. The dryer takes FOREVER to dry things, for planning purposes. Also, due to the iron content in the water, washing anything white is not recommended – it will stain it brown unless you use Iron Out. Using Iron Out on colored clothes is NOT recommended as it tends to discolor certain fabrics. You can wash colored fabrics with detergent only.
There are two bikes in the master bedroom, and tire pumps in the closet of the 2nd bedroom in case the tires are low on air. The canoe is inside the side gate, and the paddles for the canoe are just inside the entryway. Life jackets are in the 2nd bedroom closet. Also in that closet is the hammock and some coolers. A BBQ is in the entryway, and the propane tank is under one of the buckets just outside the door.
There is a fire pit in the back yard and wood / debris all around to burn. There are a few axes in the entryway if kindling is needed, and a chainsaw with pre-mixed fuel in the 2nd bedroom closet for anyone wanting to cut up some more wood to burn from the numerous downed trees! If you use the fire pit, PLEASE fill the white bucket near the front door with water from the outside spigot and completely douse the fire before retiring for the evening and before you leave, even if it looks like it's completely out.
Full, private access to the entire home and property.

The property owner next to me is building a home on his property. Please be respectful of his property, tools, equipment, etc. Not knowing what stage he is at, there may be some construction noise during the day, but he is very respectful of the time of day he works.
Lover of hiking and anything outdoors, especially in the great Pacific Northwest! I'm a Native Oregonian living in the Portland area, but I head over to The Last Resort as often as I can. Can't beat Central Oregon sunshine and endless opportunities to get outside and have fun!
