This is a light and bright traditionally decorated room situated on the second floor of our home. It looks out on a nice view of a mountain ridgeline. Your bath is a full one with tub and shower.
The antique spool bed has a comfortable mattress and fresh towels will be provided daily, if you wish. You have a large-screen TV with satellite service--lotsa channels. Wifi service is provided.
Reasonably priced therapeutic massage is offered on the premises by Carol.
We are a couple, both in our late sixties, in good health. We walk daily, ride bikes some days, do water aerobics at a nearby health club, and volunteer in the community. We both quietly read late into the night, so the house usually becomes quiet early.
We won't provide breakfast, but you may stash stuff in our second fridge and use our washer and dryer if you wish. You'll enjoy the shops on nearby Cherry Street and beyond. Arts and crafts are bountiful here in Black Mountain and throughout the mountains.
We are a half-mile from an I-40 on-ramp. I-40 gives you a quick ride westward into Asheville. Traffic inside Black Mountain is usually pretty easy to navigate and most of the sights of the town are within walking-distance of our house.
Two blocks away, there's a farm-to-table restaurant, very quaint and quaintly named Louise's for the owner's grandma. They serve dynamite coffee that's endlessly poured for you once you've purchased the first cup. A block away is a pizza restaurant called The Mill, with a full-sized mill wheel on the side of the building--owner Jay makes exceptionally good pizza, we think. A full-service health food store is two-and-a-half blocks away.
Black Mountain is a gem of a town. We chose it 25 years ago and love calling it our home. Come see what it's like. It's likely you'll like it, too.
Общение с гостями
We let each set of guests set the level of our interaction. Some show they just want to be left alone upstairs. Others come through the downstairs and chat. Others sit down and get to know us while we get to know them.
We like lots of interaction. Getting to know so many wonderful people from so many places is a major reason we choose to be Airbnb hosts.
We appreciate positive reviews from our guests. They prompt others to choose to visit us, we feel. We also appreciate suggestions for ways we can serve our guests better. If you are not going to give us a five-star rating in any area, we'd appreciate your telling us why not so we can improve. Just tell us before you leave or send us a message at the same time you file your review.
So, to reiterate, we're happy with whatever level of interaction a guest prefers. We respect and value each and every guest.
We allow smoking on the grounds and porches, but not inside our house.
We have two room adjacent, so if the other is occupied when you're here, we expect quiet after 10 p.m. in courtesy to other guests. Sorry, we do not allow pets.
Если вы отмените бронирование за 24 часа до поездки или раньше, то мы вернем вам всю сумму бронирования. Если бронирование будет отменено позже чем за 24 часа, то мы удержим стоимость первой ночи.

We like to travel and have found Airbnb to be a great lodging option. We love meeting new people and seeing new sights. Prompted by our happy experience visiting others' Airbnbs, we have made two of the bedrooms and baths of our old house into space to welcome travelers who want to visit our beautiful North Carolina mountains. Thanks for being here for all of us, Airbnb.
