The Taos Ski Valley is tucked at 9,200 feet in a box canyon amid the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. According to the New York Times, “ the Taos Ski Valley has earned its spot in the Pantheon of North America’s most challenging ski areas”.
However, the European flair ski resort also offers many runs for intermediate and beginner skiers. The Taos ski Valley is 26 miles from the home.
The Taos Country Club, with its spectacular desert setting, is an easy 2 miles drive from the house.
The Rio Pueblo Gorge can be seen from the home and is only a 10-minute walk away.
Due to the low “light pollution” in Northern New Mexico, you can gaze upward for jaw-dropping night skies, including spectacular views of the Milky Way.
This is without doubt a stunning oasis. If you want to recover from your busy life in the city, ski, write your book or screen play, compose music or just relax, you will find this to be an unparalleled, unforgettable and luxurious Southwestern experience.
