Hi! My name is Emily I am hosting with my dogs Ronnie and Opal. I strongly prefer to host only women. If you think you are an exceptional male guest you can send me a request, but generally speaking I rarely book men. There's another room I list on Airbnb so at times there might be other guests too. If I have already booked someone in one room, I'll confirm that those booking and those who have already booked are comfortable with one another before accepting the second person's booking.
The house is in a quiet neighborhood, but it's on a busier street so if you're a light sleeper this might not be the spot for you. The house has a great yard, a spacious open shared area, and good public transport close by. There's a second guest room that I also host Airbnbers in, so sometimes there will be other guests while you're here. If you've booked first, I'll make sure to approve the other guests with you before booking them. You'll have 12 hours to get back to me, if I don't hear from you in that time I'll go ahead and book the other guests.
As a guest you'll have access to the living room, kitchen, bathroom, washer dryer/mudroom, and yard.
In your room feel free to use the closet, the storage in the writing desk, and drawers in your bedside table.
In the bathroom there's a place to put your toothbrush by the sink and shelf space in the shower. There's shampoo, conditioner, and soap that are available as well. (P.S. The bathroom door doesn't lock but this has never been an issue, if the door is closed it's occupied.) Spare toiletries are provided in the bathroom in case you have forgotten something.
In the kitchen please feel free to use the fridge, and also feel free to cook. The center shelf in the fridge is a community shelf and you're welcome to help yourself! Anything on the kitchen counters or table is also up for grabs. The coffee pot is ready to go every morning so if you're the first one up just press the "on" button and it will begin brewing. We also keep a variety of teas that are available on the counter.
Общение с гостями
I work quite a bit so most of your stay you'll be expected to entertain yourself, but I'm always available should you need any help or have questions. From time to time if I have a guest that likes to socialize and I happen to have spare time, I can be available to hang out but this shouldn't be expected. Alternatively if you're a guest who wants to be left alone, I absolutely respect that and I am happy to let you do your own thing.
Другие важные подробности
I'm a self-employed artist, and a bartender. When working at the bar I do keep strange hours, but I promise to be quiet and respectful when getting in late at night. When I'm working at home as an artist it's usually from my studio in the back. This is my private work space, if you need me while I'm back there call or text me and I'll come in to help you.
The house is across the street from a large complex that includes a brewery, juicing bar, and produce distributor. There's also a bus stop directly in front of the house. I think these are pros to the location! They've never bothered me much, but if you're a light sleeper be aware that there are lots of noises on the street starting at around 4am.
I also have two dogs! Ronnie is a chihuahua mix, and Opal is a terrier mix. Treats are on top of the fridge, so don't hesitate to spoil them!
Smoking permitted only outdoors. Dispose of butts in provided ashtrays.
If Ronnie and Opal are here during your stay please be careful not to let them out the front door when coming and going. If this occurs they are usually good about coming when called, but you can also use the word "treat" to get them back in and then give them one. Treats are located on top of the fridge.
When cooking always turn on the vent hood above the stove. Our smoke alarms are very sensitive and they will go off if the vent hood isn't on.
There is only one bathroom in our house so if others are around try to ask if anyone needs to use it before occupying it for longer than 10 minutes. If no one is available to ask, just try to keep your time to a minimum. The bathroom door doesn't have a lock. It's a sliding door though, so if it's slid shut it's occupied. Don't slide it shut behind you to avoid confusing the next person who needs to use it.
Bringing additional people that you did not approve with us ahead of time will result in a cancellation of your reservation, and we will call Airbnb to relocate you to another hotel/Airbnb.
Hi! My name is Emily!
I am an artist by day, and bartender at night. I am a bit of a night owl, but am always respectful of others who might already be sleeping. I've been in the service industry for a little over 5 years now and feel my line of work has shown me what it takes to be a good guest, and a good host.
I have two dogs named Ronnie and Opal, and on my days off I love to take them on walks at local parks. I also enjoy going to museums, and checking out interesting restaurants and bars
