Luxury self-catering holiday cottage, sleeps 2, in a village setting on the outskirts of Skipton. Newly renovated in 2017 from the original barn to Ivy Cottage Farm, a traditional Yorkshire Dales farmhouse believed to date back to the late 18thC. A non-working farm but still with all the sights and sounds of the country on the doorstep. The village has a small shop, friendly pub serving evening meals, post office, playpark, village stream and lovely walks across open countryside into Skipton.
Poppy Cottage No. 1 has been tastefully re-furbished and has one stylish bedroom, ideal for a cosy get-away and has a fabulous hot-tub set in stunning private gardens. Internally there is a bright and airy L-shaped open planned living/dining/kitchen area with wood burning stove in the sitting area with large flat screen tv and dvd player. A small conservatory leads out to the private south facing garden/terrace area with the fabulous hot-tub. To the first floor, there is a large double bedroom with king-size bed, stunning views of the hills and countryside and a newly appointed bathroom with jacuzzi bath with shower over, toilet and wash basin. Next door to Poppy No. 1 is Poppy Cottage No. 2, again a newly renovated cottage. This cottage sleeps up to 5 people and shares the same private courtyard and parking area. Booked together these two cottages can accommodate a group of up to 7 people.
In Poppy Cottage No. 1 you will have full use of this two storey one bedroomed cottage with en-suite bathroom. Full and private use of its kitchen lounge and dining area and sole and private use of the fabulous hot-tub and south facing gardens with barbeque area. Parking is available for 2 cars. The cottages are attached to our home Ivy Cottage Farm - no longer a working farm although we keep chickens and the fields to the rear are usually full with animals grazing.

We live next door to the cottage at Ivy Cottage Farm, the original farmhouse, and will be happy to help with any problems that may arise. We like to be outside tending to our garden but respect that our guests require privacy at all times. We love to make people feel at home and take great pride in our new cottages and want guests to feel completely at home.

The driveway is a communal driveway and our neighbours to the two other properties that share the driveway must have a right of way across the forecourt. Please can guests park in the 4 parking bays on your right. Thankyou
No loud music to be played when outside in the garden or using the hot-tub.
For security we have a cctv system which monitors the driveway and parking area.

Hi, I am married to Steve and we have two boys who are 19 & 17 and live in Carleton-in-Craven in our converted farmhouse on the outskirts of Skipton. Over the last 7 years we have run a small guest house but in October 2016 we said goodbye to our last guests and began to make changes to the property converting our Yorkshire Dales farmhouse and creating two holiday cottages. The work finished in March 2017 so it has been a hectic winter but we are now enjoying meeting guests throughout the summer on 2017 to the cottages. Both myself and Steve are Yorkshire born and bred and we are very proud of the beautiful area we live in. Our children are growing up so we are hoping to have more free time to travel ourselves but we are really homebirds and enjoy walking and visiting many of our own little villages in this area. We love meeting new people.
