This was the perfect flat for my visit. Great location, great space ( a lot of room for a apartment in Europe!). I stayed at the flat for almost 7 weeks and was sad to say goodbye to Florence and a space that felt like home. Flat is very clean and beds are comfortable. We Americans can be a bit picky about the bathrooms in Europe, but they were great as well. Full kitchen came in handy and has a spectacular view of the rooftops in the area and there's not a TV antenna or satellite dish to mar the view. The church bells added that additional Italian flare. The area is close to a grocery store and there are a lot of good restaurants and smaller markets in the immediate area. If you're an art fan (like me!) you'll love the space. Plenty of great pieces for you to take in.
The flat is short a short walk to Santa Croce and about 10-15 minutes (depending how fast you walk) from the Piazza della Signora (Uffizi, Palazzo Vecchio, the outdoor David, etc.). It's also a quick walk to the cathedral and duomo area. Train station is easily accessible, but a bit of a walk so if you arrive with a lot of bags/large suitcase/heavy bags consider taking a cab. All in all, I count my lucky stars I found this place and hope it is available on my next visit!
Rosanna (the host) and Milena (met me at flat and handles light cleaning for long stays) are wonderfully nice people. Rosanna kept in touch throughout my time to check in and make sure all was going well and was very accessible if anything came up.
Overall I really enjoyed by visit and highly recommend this location.
Not related to the flat: one important fact I surprisingly didn't learn until the end of the trip, if you need a taxi when you leave the flat or are walking around you need to call for one or go to the spots where the cabs wait for fares (train station, the larger piazzas, and near Pitti Palace Hotel, for example). If you don't call they just zoom by you.
