This was by far the best experience I’ve ever had on Airbnb. The house was beautiful and charming. It was modern, but still had a very Greek feel so I didn’t feel like I was staying in a hotel. There was plenty of space inside and it had 4 decks outside. We spent most of our time on the main deck that has an amazing view of the ocean through tall, beautiful pine trees. The mix of forest with the ocean view was spectacular. I could look up to watch the birds flittering around the trees, and then look down to see the intensely turquoise water. The house was very tranquil, quiet, and peaceful. The two bedrooms are decorated nicely and have comfortable beds. The bathroom is large and beautiful, and even has a bathtub. The kitchen is incredibly cute and has everything you can possibly think of for cooking. The entire place was well appointed and has everything you might need (extra towels, beach towels, extra bedding/pillows, coffee, washing detergent, etc). You can walk from the house directly down a steep path to a very nice beach. The water there is incredibly clear and you can either pay for a beach chair and umbrella or walk down a bit for a free spot. It’s a sand beach and the water is calm in the mornings. There’s a beach bar there that sells drinks and plays good music. The location of the house is down the hill from the town of Kriopigi. To reach the town from the house it’s either a two-minute car ride or a 10-minute walk. The location on Cassandra was great to be able to explore the island, and also drive to the other fingers. Kriopigi is a cute little beach city with everything you need, but Kallithea and Afytos are both a 10-15 minute drive if you want more variety. They’re both very nice towns and we wish we had more time to explore them, but honestly we didn’t want to leave the house/our beach. The house itself is separated into two flats; the other is where Lila and her family live. When we arrived, Lila, her father, and her mother all greeted us warmly and invited us into their flat to have a delicious dessert. They were all incredibly welcoming and friendly. All spoke English well. Throughout the stay Lila’s father made every effort to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. He let us know where to get the best local produce, fish, feta, and baked goods. Also, he gave us spot on restaurant and beach recommendations. We definitely would’ve missed out on the best that Kriopigi has to offer if he hadn’t helped us out. All in all, this was an amazing stay and I would highly recommend staying here. I was incredibly sad to leave and can’t wait to go back.
