I live in a small Washington DC suburban neighborhood that has a wonderful history of having been established as a country getaway for Washingtonians back in the 1920's. I live in one of the first homes built here from original Cotswold Cottage architectural plans, so it's truly a beloved gem with it's cobblestone driveway, slate roof, and field stone walls. It's a house that exudes charm, authenticity and warmth. I like to think it's a reflection of me, although it's probably more charming than I'll ever be.
I'm offering a 3-room suite which encompasses the entire upstairs. There's a bedroom, full bathroom, and a second bedroom that serves as a home office, all tucked behind an old wooden door that makes it completely private.
I believe in sweating the details. I love to cook, garden, read, and closely follow the political landscape not only here in DC, but around the world. I work from home so have music on throughout the day, and 3 cats who rule the garden as well as my bed and love when visitors offer a good head scratch.
I love a good cocktail at sunset and can be found every evening in a little cobblestone corner outside my dining room that I've dubbed The Cafe, enjoying a fabulous view of the pond and woods.
I'm grateful to live here every single day. Neighbors stroll by, people walk their dogs, and everybody knows everybody else. It's peaceful, relaxing, and beautiful through every season. Come join me!
