Our wonderful country cottage situated just outside the beautiful Highland Perthshire village of Strathtay is the ideal base for your holiday.
The cottage sits in a secluded spot above the River Tay, just off National Cycle Route 7. There is plenty of private parking space right by the front door and also a garage where you can store your bicycles.
The cottage has three spacious bedrooms, two with king-size beds and one with two single beds.
We love it there and hope you will too.
The cottage is nestled in a secluded, wooded area near the glorious River Tay. We're super-pleased to be able to share it with you.
OUTSIDE there's plenty of space to park three cars and a garage to store your bicycles. There's a spacious back lawn with a big outdoor dining table and chairs and a further large front lawn.
INSIDE the cottage, you're greeted by a large porch - perfect for taking off your hiking boots after a day in the hills.
You then come in to the dining room, with a huge dining table which seats up to ten people.
The kitchen is well-stocked, with a double oven and grill, induction hob, large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso, toaster, kettle, digital radio and all the pots, pans, cutlery, crockery and utensils you should need.
From the kitchen there's access to the back garden and also a small WC.
Coming through to the main part of the house, an airy hall leads to the games room and living room on the ground floor.
The living room is cosy and is kitted out with two large sofas. The TV is internet-ready (Netflix available for guest use) and has a (limited) selection of Freeview channels. The centrepiece is a wood-burning stove, perfect for quiet nights in watching a film or playing games.
The games room has a table tennis table, perfect for a family tournament! There's also a selection of board games here to enjoy, including family favourites such as Trivial Pursuit, Linkee and Pictionary.
Upstairs, you'll find the bathroom and three bedrooms.
The bathroom has a shower, bath and toilet. The shower has great pressure and will hopefully invigorate you for the day ahead.
The main bedroom (green) has a comfy king-size bed and a handy washstand. There's plenty of cupboard space for your clothes.
The second bedroom (cream) has another king-size bed and a cupboard for your clothes. You'll also find a cot here, and a mirror to check you're looking your best!
The last bedroom (purple) has two single beds and another full-length mirror with hanging rail.
As long as you treat the property with respect, you have free rein of the entire cottage and garden area.
I do not charge a cleaning fee because I expect that you will leave the cottage reasonably clean and tidy when you leave. If this is not the case, please be aware I will use the Airbnb Resolution Centre to request extra payment from you to cover my costs.
Well-behaved dogs only, please. Dogs are only allowed in the tiled areas downstairs - i.e. the porch, dining room, kitchen and back porch.
Absolutely no smoking anywhere inside the cottage.
I'll usually be there to meet you when you check in to the property. I'll show you round and show you how everything works. You'll be able to ask me anything you want about the property and the local area.
I'm a friendly Scottish guy, originally from the west coast of Scotland. I moved to Edinburgh in 2002 for university and have stayed ever since - I love the place, and I love introducing the city to new travellers.
Unsurprisingly, like most Airbnb hosts, I'm passionate about travelling. Recent destinations include Amsterdam, Georgia (the country, rather than the American state), Flaine, Lillehammer and Copenhagen. So much to see!
I'm very much into sports and outdoor pursuits, especially football, tennis and skiing. If you are looking for running routes while you are in Edinburgh then you're in luck.
I pride myself on my knowledge of Edinburgh and have set up an information station in my flat to give travellers the lowdown on my favourite things to do and places to visit in Edinburgh.
I look forward to hosting you!
