We stayed at Twin Maple Farm over a 4 day weekend for a small celebration of my parent's 50th wedding anniversary and had an AMAZING time. The house was exactly as advertised, and easily accommodated 3 couples and 2 small children. My parents used the first floor master bedroom which is spacious and has incredible views out over the expansive backyard. My wife and I stayed in one of the upstairs bedrooms, while my sister and brother-in-law stayed in the other. Both have comfortable queen beds and great views out the windows. Our 3-year-old daughter really enjoyed sleeping on the bunk beds in the third upstairs bedroom, and our 2-year-old niece, who is still in a pack-and-play, was actually able to fit in the large closet in my sister and brother-in-law's room. The house was spotlessly clean, and well stocked. The aid of us easily fit around the large kitchen/dining table, and the big screen TV with built in sounds system was a nice addition for down time. There were also plenty of board games, puzzles, and paperback books, although he hardly had time to take advantage of all these. To top it off, there were plastic cups, plates, and utensils that were perfect for the little ones. Saiid was waiting to meet us when we arrived and not only showed us the property, but also gave us great tips on things to do in and around Great Barrington. We really appreciated his recommendation for a local lake with a public beach that made for a perfect Sunday. The drive into town was super easy, or we could just walk about 100 yards down the road from the house to a super nice farmers market. The 2 girls loved running around the backyard, and although the road our front may be just a little busy, we were never worried about them heading out that way given that the yard was so large. Saiid had supplied a grill and charcoal, and we took full advantage of it as well as the large deck and dining table out back. The girls especially loved feeding carrots to Andy the pony, and by the time we left, he had been joined by 4 little goats that were also always up for being petted. An earlier review of this properly had mentioned the use of a pool, which is actually not available, but totally understandable from a liability standpoint. Fortunately, we didn't need it with the lakes nearby, and a small creek right on the property that is great for splashing around with the kids. Saiid was a GREAT host and always just a text message away. We'll certainly be back in the future - beautiful, serene house and property in a great, centralized location!!
