The Flying Elephant is a former in-law apartment. You will have total privacy other than a sweet 9 lb. mutt wanting a pet or two if you are sitting outside enjoying your coffee or a meal. Close to I-25, 1-40, shopping, Uptown, restaurants, hiking trails, Balloon Fiesta Pk. Safe walking and running neighborhood. Easy commute to Old Town and Downtown Albuquerque. Outdoor pool available to guests during summer months.
The Flying Elephant has a private entrance, private parking and much more. There is a kitchen (refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, hotplate, coffee maker, dishes, utensils, etc.), sitting area with a single-size sofa bed, reading chair and table for two; large bedroom with a queen-sized bed, rocking chair and cable TV, large bathroom and large separate dressing area with a desk. You are welcome to use the front patio to sit and enjoy a beverage or sit out back and have a meal. You will have lots of privacy, other than an occasional 9 lb. fluffy mutt coming out to see you. A few barks may be involved at the start! During the summer months, the pool is available. Suite is wheelchair accessible and LGBTQ friendly.
The apartment is attached to the house, but has its own entrance and parking and is separated from my living area by two doors and a utility room, where the backyard area can be accessed. There will be bottled water, coffee and fresh fruit and English muffins waiting for you upon arrival. For those staying longer than a couple of days, grocery stores are nearby for your shopping convenience. For monthly rentals, you will have weekly access to the washer and dryer on the premises.

Другие важные подробности
I ask that guests treat the suite like they would treat their own homes and be respectful of the neighbors. The single-size sofa bed sleeps one person comfortably. During the summer months (late May - late Sept), the pool is open to guests, but I do ask waivers to be signed before using the pool. No life guard, so I also ask that only adults use the pool when it is available.
- Enjoy your surroundings and respect the environment. I will try to cover the "how to's" in the Welcome folder. And, of course, let me know if you have any questions.
I am originally from the Washington, DC area and moved to Albuquerque seven years ago because I fell in love with this area after spending time here. I knew this was where I wanted to end up eventually and made it happen. I'm active in local community theater and volunteer at Animal Humane. Right now, my time is spent enjoying the weather, the backyard pool and being with friends. My 9-lb dog, Sadie, keeps me active with dog walks and tossing toys around the house.
