Общение с гостями
We will be home to greet you and show you the space, but other than that, we will try to stay out of your hair. Scott and I both work full time jobs and have a number of other commitments after work, so when we get home we are typically catching up on chores. In other words, we don't have a ton of time during the week to interact with guests apart from your initial check in and answering the occasional question. If you are seeking a more immersive experience, we might not be the best hosts for you. If you are more of an independent traveler and want friendly hosts that are helpful but for the most part leave you be, we are totally the right hosts for you :)
Другие важные подробности
We have two Yorkies, Zia and Zade who will likely want to know who you are when you arrive. They are super friendly and really cute, but if you don't like dogs, this might not be a great spot for you.
Above all - treat our house like you would want your house to be treated. Be respectful of our space.
In your reservation request please let me know what your plans are in San Antonio. Are you moving here and are still looking for permanent housing? Are you volunteering? Are you sight seeing? I want to know :)
Please arrange a check in time at least 24-hours in advance, so one of us can try to be home when you arrive. If you need a flexible check-in time we can also work with you, just let us know ahead of time.
Quiet hours are from 12am to 7am.
No smoking or vaping indoors or outdoors.
No guests (overnight or during the day) unless they were a part of the original reservation. We totally understand that your friends / family may want to check out where you are staying while you are in town, but please respect that this is our home, and it's really uncomfortable to have people coming over that we did not approve beforehand.
Please leave things as they are in your room: do not remove pictures from walls, move desk / bed around, or bring any additional furniture.
Also, it should not be necessary to say, but since some guests have done this, I must add: please do not take any of my personal possessions out of my home for any reason :(
Common areas are cleaned once a week, and guest rooms are cleaned in between guest visits. Apart from this, guests are expected to keep common areas tidy after use and keep their own rooms and bathroom relatively clean during their stay.
Please do not store food or throw away containers with food in your room or in any common area other than the kitchen. Feel free to eat in your room, but please dispose of takeout boxes in the kitchen trash and bring your dishes back to the kitchen after use.
No mail may be received by guests at my home without prior approval.
Supervise children at all times. This means that if you leave the house, they should go with you.
Guest agrees to pay Host for damages or loss for any of Host's property damaged/lost by the Guest.
Due to danger of fire, no candles, space heaters or open flames may be used in the house.
No firearms or weapons allowed on the property.
No illegal activity. For example, underage drinking, drug use, domestic violence, etc.
Also, no ghosts or zombies. :)
Scott and I love to travel and meet new people, which is how we ended up on Airbnb. We host our spare bedroom to earn some extra cash, and often air b&b our way around the country/world. We love the concept of sharing your space with travelers! Some of our passions are hiking, swimming, running, cycling, and then of course, eating. I also love to cook and garden, and Scott is a really great home brewer and wood worker. Scott and I both work as consultants for a bank in San Antonio, Texas when we are home.
