A good stay is all about good communication and being upfront about what you as a guest can expect. Our guests give us excellent ratings because of these efforts, the quality of our Airbnbs, amenities and hospitality. Airbnb also acknowledges this by having us designated as superhosts.
Our checks ins are congenial, detailed, but brief and to the point, because we respect your time and ours. We do not repeat ourselves as that would be a waste of time and energy.
The concerns expressed by this guests are fully disclosed in our listing itself. So, prior to booking the guest knew what to expect. Guests have lauded us and suggested that we have information available in multiple formats (print and electronic). We have photographs of the cottage listed and do not list a dishwasher as an available amenity. Leaving items as you find them is a normal expectation of most hosts.
Despite the concerns expressed by the guest with regards to having the rules available electronically and in print, the guest did not actually follow the rules and left the property unlocked and unsecured upon check out. Several items had to be retired permanently from service due to condition in which they were left by the guest.
