Marc is such a cool guy! He was kind and helpful even weeks before I even got to Berlin. We exchanged several messages regarding the logistics of the arrival and key exchange. He was even very helpful in pointing me in the right direction of a few gyms that I could use while I was in the city. Coincidentally there were two within walking distance of the flat. He was kind enough to leave a few cold beverages in the fridge for me, and also left a map for me to use to get acquainted with the train system and some other things like a power converter and such.
The flat was gorgeous!! It was very comfortable and nicely decorated. It was a perfect scenario for traveling alone and working remotely and exploring the city. Within feet of the flat, you literally can't help but trip over cute restaurants of all variety (fish & chips, organic, asian, vietnamese, Kebap shops, Bakeries) clothing boutiques and parks, ATM's outdoor markets/festivals and an amazing weekend flea market. A multi connection S-Bahn station is around the corner and I found myself within 20 minutes of Mitte, Alexander Platz, and even closer to points in Neukölln, Kreuzberg and Lichtenberg. Treptower Park is not that far on foot and one station away. For those seeking Berlin's famed nightlife, there are several destinations within walking distance of the flat...yes that one too. I found myself walking from Frankfurter Allee and Warschauer Str. quite a bit.
Marc was in contact with me during the entirety of my trip to make sure that things were going ok and most importantly that I was enjoying Berlin.
I really enjoyed my stay to no end and I do think that Marc's kindness and his flat paid a huge roll in that.
