A 2000 model Ford cargo van situated on a large acreage, partly wooded, in beautiful North Central Texas with three ponds and twelve cows, along with approximately six coyotes--though electricity, cable television and running water are not offered.
Living in a van down by the river is a classic American way to exist and this offering allows you the opportunity to see the world from the viewpoint of the noble vagabond living in hidden spaces, that unseen portion of the real America.
My space is unique in that it has a running engine and can move. There are three campsites on the acreage onto which you can have the van positioned by our extensive and courteous staff.
The van itself is clean, dry and comfortable and can sleep two people. Our hope is that you won't spend very much time in the van but will instead go out walking on the landscape, bird watching, exercising, or engaging in spiritual self development.
*Each guest is provided with newly bought sheets and towels.
There's a boat that is in serviceable condition and can be moved for you to a nearby boat ramp where you can use it until you're finished and have it removed back by our extensive staff.
There are various firearms including an AK-47 and a Winchester model 94 rifle which are available to use along with a reasonable amount of ammunition. Additional ammunition must be bought by the guest.
There is a quad bike for use in traveling on the property itself and through its extensive network of trails and pastures. Fuel is free. Needed repairs can be conducted within an hour or two if the unit suffers a breakdown.
There is a bicycle also if one prefers a quieter mode of transportation and perhaps a bit of additional exercise.
Two of the three ponds contain fish and there is equipment for fishing available to interested parties.
There are two tractor for persons interested in learning how to operate farm machinery -- either just for fun or in an actual laboring capacity. Fuel is free.
No additional charges apply to any of the above.

The host lives in a converted bus on an adjoining large property and is available 24 hours a day, any day of the week to provide any services or answer questions. Guests are free to decide how much interaction they prefer to have with their host who will not otherwise go onto the property while guests are there.
Другие важные подробности
Bird watching locally is phenomenal.
Guests can receive an explanation of outdoor toileting procedures if there are any questions or doubts about how to conduct one's toileting operations, in essentially the same way that 50 or 60% of the population of the country of India are compelled to do theirs.
The use of fire is restricted to fires the size of a standard campfire.
There's a convenience store within walking distance that's open 18 hours a day. However the convenience store is the only retail facility within 10 miles and there are no other businesses but only residences in the area and not very many of those either. It is not a densely populated area but is instead quite rural.
Only the State of Texas criminal and penal code restrictions apply, although we don't want you to start any fires larger than a standard campfire.

Minimalist, hard core variety. I've been living in vans on and off since 1989. I have a personal monthly budget of $725 and I own about 385 to 400 things. Total. Including socks counted separately. Politically I would be Blue State as opposed to Red State but I don't spend a lot of time thinking about politics because it's complicated and above one's effective pay grade. I write letters to people by hand and and send by post, which I know seems anachronistic, but it is my habit.
