We are both from San Diego, but feel like we have several homes all over the world. We love traveling and spending time in different countries and meeting lots of interesting new people. We are both very active and love playing sports like soccer, cycling, swimming, and snowboarding, We also love food… A lot. Eating out at different restaurants in wherever we are traveling is one of our favorite things to do. Putting on some music and opening a bottle of wine and spending three or four hours cooking the perfect meal is also just as fun.
The house itself is a great traditional craftsman house with two furnished bedrooms with queen beds and 1.5 baths as well as an office. One of the bedrooms is an open floor-plan upstairs which has a queen bed, a futon (which can sleep 2), and a twin mattress that can be put right on the floor. There is another futon on the deck which can be pulled into the office to sleep 2 more, or if it's warm enough you can sleep outside! The living room has a 50" flat screen TV, but we do not have cable. If this is a deal-breaker for you, message me and we can discuss getting it turned on during your stay. You can plug in your computer and stream video, or play DVDs. There is a digital antenna so you are able to get the basic channels in HD. Wifi is available throughout the house. The kitchen is upgraded and full of anything you might need to cook yourself a great meal. Feel free to use either of our two barbecues, propane or charcoal, located in the backyard on the patio. You can also dine outside with our patio furniture or just hang out on the deck or the lounge chairs and enjoy San Diego's fine weather. You are also welcome to use our Jacuzzi in the backyard. The house has central air conditioning and heat, as well as a washer and dryer.
The house is located right in the heart of North Park, just far enough away from the main drag to have peace and quiet when you want it, and close enough to walk to awesome bars and restaurants and live music in five minutes. We will also leave our bikes if you prefer to get around that way.
If you're not familiar with the North Park neighborhood, it is the best neighborhood in San Diego. Of course, I'm a little biased. You can walk to the farmers market two blocks away once a week, or check out the monthly art walk on the second Saturday of every month. There are tons of great restaurants, bars, craft beer and wine, and live music all within walking distance. Bike to Balboa Park in less than 5 minutes; the San Diego Zoo is less than a 10-min drive; SeaWorld and the Beaches are only 15 minutes away; downtown SD is only 10 minutes away. You're within walking distance to Balboa Park and only a block away from public transportation to get all over the city including downtown, old town, and more.
Everything will be set up nicely so that your stay will be comfortable.
This is a great house, and you won't be disappointed if you stay here!
If you have any questions about what's included or about anything else, please don't hesitate to ask!
Sorry, no pets.
