Mr. Sergio is a very arrogent and contentious man, who would not let anyone comment or explain the situation because he always wanted to talk over our staff. He would not listen and in the end, became insulting.
We had a bad experience with this guest even after we treated him in an excellent manner, granting him a late check out from his apartment and going out of our way to change other reservations, so he did not have to change his apartment for another, during his stay.
The problem started because of his electric consumption because the guest left everything open for 24hours for the two day stay, up until his checkout time, 3pm in the afternoon. Later, when he arrived for check out and we gave him the information about the electric, this is when he started the complaint.
We explained to him that in Airbnb, it explains that the light/electricity is to be paid separately. We showed him during check in, his initial Kw amount in the meter and we showed him the amount at check out. But he did not show any interest and continued to argue the fact of the KW usage. When we told him that during check in we had showed him the Kw amount on his meter, he began to insult our staff and tell us all that we were lying.
We charge 20 dominican pesos per Kw for the electric, the electric power company charges us 13 dominican pesos but makes us pay a fixed monthly rate which we calculate to be the value of 7 pesos per kw. For that reason, we charge 20 pesos each Kw to cover this cost. We have all the receipts and proof that we charge 20 pesos each Kw, as it is stated in Airbnb. Sir Sergio can not make a comparison to Europe or the United States with the Dominican Republic.
We do not recommend this guest further in our complex and others because all he wants to do is make a show and fight with staff, in order to receive a refund.
