Our family is in full-time ministry and we would love to share our home with you for your stay! The house is a beautiful 3600 square foot, 3-story Craftsman home close to Pt. Defiance Park and Zoo, Owen's Beach, Antique Sandwich Co., Pt. Defiance Tap and Grill, Cinemark Century Ruston Theatre, Wild Fin, Mio Sushi, Dolci Si, Two Town, Wheel Fun Rentals, Tacoma Waterfront, Vashon Ferry & Chambers Bay Golf Course.
The house if fully equipped for young children and boasts two beautiful decks!
We look forward to having you stay at our place! Here are a few of the "House Rules":
- Please no smoking indoors. An occasional cigar on a deck or outside is fine, but we ask and require that there be no second hand smoke indoors due to family sensitivity.
- For bookings, we are more flexible in the summer months and with advanced notice the rest of the year. We have friendly and gracious neighbors so please no amplified or loud music/noise after 10 p.m. No events or parties are allowed without prior permission.
-At this time, we aren't accepting bookings with pets. However, we would be willing to consider on a case-by-case basis whether a small pet could be acceptable.
--Please note that the house includes 4 bedrooms. A master suite with a king bed. Two guest bedrooms with queen beds (one bedroom has a crib normally but can have a high-end queen blow-up bed added instead). One bedroom with three twin beds. A living room with a couch that converts into a twin bed. And the option of a blow-up queen bed in the downstairs living room and/or a blow-up full areobed in the office for additional guests. There is an additional fee of $35 per person per night for bookings with more than 9 guests.
- Currently the house next to us is being completely gutted/renovated by an investment company. Thus far the work hasn't been loud or disruptive and doesn't occur that often, but please note that there may or may not be construction work going on next door during your stay. Currently, they seem to work a few days a month or not at all. This neighboring house is a bit of an eyesore.
I am an artist at heart who enjoys solitude, but am currently a very busy mother of 4 young children! I speak English and Spanish fluently after living abroad in Argentina and Spain, and doing part of my master's degree in Ecuador. In the past I worked for an international relief and development non-profit and then spent about 10 years designing and selling a jewelry line that I founded. I stepped back from doing jewelry after my 2nd child and I now currently enjoy home decorating, playing with my kiddos, traveling, exercising, reading, and helping to support my husband who works for a ministry that works with youth. I can't live without my Kindle, chocolate, coffee, earrings and ear plugs!
