I just love the Saigon Adentro neighborhood for it's people, close proximity to town center, beaches, views of boats, little colorful wood houses on the water and no street traffic. And as an adventurer and worker in tourism,I can tell you how to get to secluded beaches, explore other islands or tell you the most reputable tour companies to use.The space is great for families(children over 8),couples,friends, singles and is gay friendly.
Dolores is always getting special renovations and added touches, like a collection of art history books, a new couch, funky hand made lamps and additions to the garden. Dolores is located 2 blocks away from all available transportation. Surf break shuttles to Paunch, Dumpers, Tiger Tail and Bluff; Playa Estrella/Starfish beach/Boca Del Drago, La Gruta bat caves. You can even get picked up on your own dock by water taxi.
This is a wooden Caribbean style house that sits tall on stilts over the water. The height adds an outstanding view of the bay and extra security. However, our neighborhood is very safe and our neighbors are friendly. The balcony with hammock, comfortable chairs and garden is where guests spend most of their time while not touring the islands. You can also sit out on the pier to sunbathe and watch the sunset. Our beach where Sea Fair is held is only 2 blocks away with restaurants and is perfect for a quick morning swim.

The tropics are alive. So, it's good to be prepared with lightweight clothing that covers the skin for both sun and insects. Dolores provides my natural insect repellent and moveable fans for your comfort. To be sure, this area has no threat of malaria, yellow fever or zika. If this is a concern for you, please look into it on the CDC website.
- Smoking is allowed on the deck only and ashtray/s are provided.
-*****Please, the most important rule is to compost/ throw all organic biodegradable materials off of the porch for the crab and little fish to enjoy. I get garbage pick up 2x's a month. I don't want stinky garbage to attract pests to your house or mine. I have also checked with my marine biologist friend/sailer that agrees that this is the best place to put food waste. Thank you for observing****
- I provide some beach gear. Please shake it out good upon leaving as a nod to my washing machine.
- Soap, dish soap, toilet paper, coffee, tea, sugar also whatever is in the fridge/shelves are provided for your comfort on your arrival and you are welcome to it. There is a grocery 2 blocks away and open til' 10 pm if you need anything.
-To avoid any unnecessary plastic waste on our tiny island, I generally provide a reusable 5 gallon tank that you can buy from me when you arrive. You can pay me $5 for the tank and I am available to bring you a refill tank if you need. Otherwise, there are refill stations all around town for smaller containers all around town. Please don't buy bottled water. Not a rule, just a suggestion.
- I live in the house next door. So, I am nearby if you have any concerns. Welcome to Bocas and enjoy your stay!
