Enjoy all that downeast Maine has to offer without the Bar Harbor crowds. (Winter Harbor, a 20 minute drive, is home to an equally beautiful piece of Acadia National Park.) Our updated cottage sits on a quiet cove, looking out to Kelly Island (home to bald eagles!) and Schoodic Mountain to the west. You’ll love it for the views, the quiet ambiance, the screened porch, proximity to Acadia -- plus paddling right out your door.
This is the larger of two cottages on the property. It includes a full kitchen with gas stove, coffee maker, refrigerator, large dining table, living area, adjacent sitting area, separate bedroom (queen bed), plus a full bathroom with shower/bath and washer/dryer, and a huge screened porch with additional dining and 3 lovely rocking chairs.
The smaller/lower cottage may be occupied during your stay, but you have 210 feet of your own shore frontage and your own private dock.
Property lines should be evident -- your access point to the lake is where the kayaks and canoe are kept.
Visitors have access to the larger cottage, plus two kayaks and a canoe. There is parking directly in front of the cottage for one or two cars.

We love our Downeast lake house, which has been in the family for 50+ years (we live full time in Southern Maine). We are a family of four who enjoys the outdoors, travel, gardening, jogging, hiking, scrabble, lobster, & music.
