Eva, this was an unfortunate and isolated event that I wish had not occurred. As I explained before there was major construction happening on the building next door and it is what possibly caused this issue (It is NYC and all the buildings in the area are Pre-war buildings). As soon as you told me about it, we contacted a professional exterminator and I left my work trip to come back to NYC and deal with this issue in person (This is my home and I do not take claims of a roach problem lightly) I spent 3 days after your claim with an exterminator who explained that if we had a problem, they would start coming out after spraying. No roaches have been seen since your claim or before. I have hosted over 100 people in the last 3 years and never had such issues. I have also had 4 other guests since your stay and none of them have seen anything. It really was an unfortunate event, that was dealt with right away. Sorry for not giving you the full refund that you demanded after spending 5 nights at my home with no problems, but Airbnb advised on only refunding one night for the inconvenience, as there is evidence proving I do not have issues in my home. In regards to the two nights you spent away from my apartment, It was clear from your messages that you had planned to go to Connecticut, so the two nights you did not spend in the apartment were not in anyway my fault, they simply coincided with this. Again, this was a very rare occurrence that was very unfortunate and I have take extreme measures to ensure it never happens again.
