I'm a five star super host with Airbnb so I know a few things. Ricky and Marina really go out of their way to make sure you will have EVERYTHING you need: water in the fridge, granola bars for a quick breakfast or snack, toiletries in case you run out or need something, hair dryer, iron and ironing board (do people iron in Florida?! Haha!), even antacid!! I mean it!! Everything!
Not only that, I arrived later than expected and didn't tell them (didn't think I needed to because it was a private space in the back), but then I couldn't see the house numbers (intermittently dark street at night) so I texted them and they turned on the porch light and were very considerate considering the late hour (11ish)?
The space was private, perfect, light and bright, and retro-cool. The wifi worked great and my cell service worked great. For me, traveling alone, it was ideal. They mention the bathroom, what they mean is that the walls are shorter so they don't go to the ceiling. Sounds, scents, etc will not be private (although they do have a screen for visual privacy for those that want it).
It's a great price and close to the beach within walking distance of restaurants, shopping, beach, etc.
Keep in mind that at night the neighborhood nearby can be a bit sketchy. I tried walking the first few nights and had a few encounters and decided to uber my remaining nights. Uber is abundant but pricey (about $6-8 for a half a mile while I was there, but they pick up quick and were all very nice).
During the day, I learned to stay on Ricky and Marina's street to the main road instead of cutting across what I charmingly called "the projects." Their street is residential and had kids and grandmas and such.
One more thing, the bed is a futon which could be great if you want to make it into a couch for tv watching, but can be a bit hard after many days of sleep. Those that like a super firm mattress experience will love it!
Bottom line, I would stay here again and am impressed with the extra effort they put into their space!
