I have been property manager for 20 years, multiple buildings, 1,1000 Airbnb guests. I have managed property Amor stayed at for all of these 20 years. I remember him well. His remarks are largely exaggerated. Feelings are feelings but facts are facts. Fact: This is not an unsafe area AT ALL. Hollywood is a vibrant, exciting urban are in Los Angeles. It’s a wonderful time to visit Hollywood. This happens to be a particular excellent block in Hollywood and has that reputation with the Hollywood police. I and many of my fellow business people in the immediate area have worked very hard to help this area be as excellent as it is. This building enjoys a particular excellent safety record. Fact: The linen and towels were freshly washed. Again, if Amor had an issue with the newness or the particular odor of the detergent we use, etc. that is unfortunate. We seek to have happy customers. But to then say that the linen and towels were not washed in not accurate. Would he really have stayed in that bed and used those towels without notifying me re: this if indeed they were not washed? Of course not. It’s not credible and it is very irresponsible. Fact: Amor arrived before the standard 2:00p.m check in. I made sure that he got into his unit asap and well before 2:00pm.m so instead of being critical of being “made to wait” he might have been grateful that we got him into his unit earlier than scheduled, without prior notice. Fact: The plumber was late to do work that required shutting off the water. I made the plumber wait and spoke with Amor in person specifically re: this. I even checked back again, in person, to make sure that he would not be unduly inconvenienced by the work. He said he and his plus 1 were leaving and that it was not a problem. The maid staff leaves coffee as a standard practice and our records show and she says that there was coffee in the unit - packs of coffee and packs of sugar. Sorry if they were not up to Amol’s standards; but again, that is no reason to say that there wasn’t any coffee [or tea]. WiFi was out for total of 20 minutes. I happened to be in the building when Amor contacted me and responded immediately. Technically it down, fixed and then down again for rebooting. So over 20 minutes time it was down 2 times. I was in touch with Amor throughout. I haven idea what Amor means by “doesn’t have anything.” We had cable, WiFi, mini-frig, toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker, basic kitchen items, pot, pan, etc; courtesy bathroom items. This are listed in amenities section. I am sorry for this difficulty in communicating regarding instructions. I have looked into that and that is unfortunate but our back up systems did work and, again, Amol “waited;” but still gained entrance earlier that scheduled and without prior notice. And, by the way, we are happy to accommodate in this as we can. It is out goal to have happy customers. The vast majority of our guests enjoy the value and location and the majority report this. It always unfortunate when we have an unhappy guest. I gain no pleasure in having an unhappy guest, but that is no reason to exaggerate and mistake facts either. Mark Soper, Manager
